DD is 2 and a bit and she weighs 18 kgs as she is very tall (over 100 cms) - thanks to her Daddy who is 6'7! So she is getting to big for her car seat and we will use that seat for bub #2 as you can turn it back around and have it reclined and backwards facing.
So we need to get DD a new seat - I ma confused about booster seats and when you can use them?? Her head is over the back of the seat she has now - so she really needs a bigger seat. They only seats I can see being tall enough for her are booster seats and I dont know if she is to young for one now??
Please help - we have 8 weeks to get a new seat and get the other ready for the new bub - maybe even less!
i think if she is that tall then yeah go for it, i have a go safe booster i think its called i got it from baby kingdom.. bout 2 yrs ago now.. and i used it early due to my ds height also..
i think its safer to use a booster if she is out growing her seat but you can also get the ones that have the same belts as the baby seat itms?
then one i have has the full belts not a harness and i love it its great its exactly like a seat and its comfy too.. also has the side protectors so if any impact comes his head is cushioned..
im not sure if that brand is the one i have i havent really looke din a while but if your interested i can find out..
Think the booster we have is 14kg plus - Charlotte is in it now as she was also too tall for her old car seat.
I think she would well and truly be in a booster now, some don't come with an H harness, but you can buy them separately or use the lap sash seat belt.
Darcy went into a Maxirider at 2 for the same reason, but she wasn't heavy enough for just the H harness or seatbelt so we kept the five point harness until she was 20kgs and now she's gone to a plain seatbelt with the antisubmarineing clip, but I think until 4 they need a h harness or 5 point harness?????
