Just wondering about cot mattresses. We just bought a foam one from K-Mart and tested how firm it was before we bought it. We can push quite hard on it before it sinks in.
For some reason I am still a little hesitant though, I know foam mattresses are ok as long as they are hard, and that babies don't need inner spring anyways, just wondering if anyone can give me any advice? Will it be ok? Am I being a bad mother by using a foam mattress or is it totally ok???
We had a foam mattress from IKEA. It was a double sided one, warmer one side for winter and the other side was cooler for summer. The mattress from IKEA wasn't overly hard either.
DS is now 3 and although he rarely slept in his cot (ended up co-sleeping) it was fine.
