Bugaboo donkey?
hi as the title says, im chasing pram reccomendations that can be used as a double or a single. there will be a 2y 4m gap between the kidlets and i will be planning on wearing the pickle some of the time but if bubs is is the pram i cant wear DS for more than a half hour, having a dodgy back and DS being 14.5k at 21mths with no sign of slowing. he is also a runner if he is walking and i would rather bubs be able to face me if possible. i dont like the prams like phil & teds or strider where theres one on the ground behind the other or the ones that look like trains with the toddler at the front. DH was kicking the lower seat of the phil and teds just walking one around the shop, i think cos his legs were too long.
we have been looking at the city select but its a bit heavy and it doesnt look like you can have the bassinet in the top with the front seat facing out (from what i can see on their website) its also a lil pricey.
the other one we were looking at and loved was the love n care twingo but that cant be used as a single and i dont know how long DS will be needing to be in a pram. i dont want to buy it and use it for a month or two then never again IYKWIM
are there any that i am missing?
Bugaboo donkey?
I have the twingo and seriously love it. There are 2yr 6 months between our two and it means I can get out by myself with the two of them (I also have a runner) It doesn't become a single but I use it with just DS2 all the time, with just one seat on and room for shoppingI also bought the travel adaptor from the US that fits most capsules!
Oh, I looked at the Donkey, seriously flimsy compared to the twingo and 3 times the price!
i just have a Valco something (got it 2nd hand) with a toddler seat.
I've got the bugaboo donkey and I love it! I've been using it for the last few months with DS1 and have found it great as a single. I've just had DS2 so haven't really had a chance to use it as a double, but my test runs with the bassinet and the maxi cosi capsule have been great. I really can't fault it and tbh am very surprised that Amaunet has described it as flimsy. It is expensive, but bugaboos have a great resale value (I sold my 2 year old cameleon for $800) so I wasn't too bothered by the price because I figure I'll recoupe a lot of it when we're done with it. HTH
I saw it "expanded" and found the frame wasn't very rigid and had quite a bit of movement? Maybe not put together properly?
The Baby Jogger City Select is awesome!! Have a look on youtube for it to see how it works. Can have the seats any way you want. My girls like to face eachother.
thanks girls!
the bugaboo donkey is too exxy so tbh i haven't even looked at it.
heaven, awesome i'll have a look at the videos.
