Does anyone have a Toyota Corolla Hatch - current shape and a Bugaboo Cameleon?

I am looking at trading in my car

And getting a new Toyota Corolla Hatch Edge, but I need to go in and have a look at one, but I was wondering how big the boot is on it and wheher a Bugaboo Cameleon can fit in one or not?

If you have both can you please let me know how it goes

I've got a Toyota Corolla Sportivo 2006 so the shape is not too different to the current shape - and i have the peg perego skate pram. - I can get the pram in the boot, and nothing else!

Sorry, not much help, but not too sure how big the bugaboo is?

Thankyou for posting, I am not sure how close the two different prams are in size though

The Bug actually folds down pretty small if you take the big wheels off it, but I prefer not to all the time if I don't need to. And my current car is a hatch which has runflat tyres (you can drive on a flat tyre ), so there is no need for a spare, so more boot room....

I am going to have to find one a bit closer than the one I am looking at as I don't feel like doing a 1hr 45min round trip to find that it doesn't fit..

LOL...funny you mention the removing wheels thingy! - when DH and i were looking at prams i really liked the strider pram but in order to get it into the Corolla boot i would have had to remove the back wheels everytime i put it in, so yeah, that pram went out the window very quickly! - The perego Skate was the only 4 wheeler i could get into the boot of the car without having to remove anything, so that was a huge sell for me ( a very expensive one mind you!)

Maybe just go to any Toyota dealer just to get an idea on size (and maybe take the pram too see if it fits!) Not sure what the boots in the new shape Corollas are like, but the Sportivo has "flat" boot so there is no depth to it so you can't even push the pram to the back!

The Bugaboo Chameleon fits into the boot of my Holden Barina 5 door hatch if that helps any. You can't do a huge shop with it and put the shopping into the boot but there is plenty of room for a pram / nappy bag / a few bags of shopping etc. Or you can put the shopping on the floor inside the car cabin

I'd take the pram to a dealer as well to check if it fits. We took it to the motor show so we could try it out on models that appealed.

I have the new Toyota Corolla Hatch and getting a pram to fit into it is tricky. I ended up buying a United Colors of Benetton Pram (Stella Bambini collection) as it is the easiest to fit into the boot. I only have to remove one wheel (easily done) to do this. This 3 wheel pram is available from Toy R Us for a few hundred dollars.

With the steelcraft pram I needed to remove the prams basinet/body and remove a wheel, too much messing about.

I have seen the baby jogger pram and think this might fit in the boot. I think this pram retails for about $600 - $700.

I have a Toyota Yaris which has a pretty small hatch boot and a bugaboo. It will only all fit in the back when the wheels are taken off which can get a bit annoying. I usually put part on the front seat and part in the boot...

I got the Bug in the boot, had to remove the handle, but there was no other room, and I don't think it is going to be practical if we want tog row our family, we need room to move. So I guess I should look at the Sedan, although I don't like it as much as the hatch, or I am considering a Holden Cruze where the boot is insanely HUGE!!

Glad you tried out - yeah, we had the same prob with my corolla - got the pram in, and then nothing else! - Hence our upgrade to the subaru forester - DH drives my corolla now so at least i still have "her" in the family lol
