does baby stuff go on post-Christmas sale?

I'm due in April, so I figured that if stuff goes on sale after Christmas, it would be a great time to shop.

When does baby stuff go on sale?

Or is it one of those things that never really does because when you need it you really need it now?

A lot of baby stuff does go on sale... we picked up our car seat 50% off at Target at the boxing day sales. Plus most major shops (Big W, Kmart, Target) have baby sales every few months, and you can be pretty much guarenteed there will be one before Apri :-) Just keep your eye out each week in store for catalogues, maybe subscribe to the online ones so you don't miss any.

Usually only department stores will do it, but in my experience never baby shops - they are too cunning for that and know that it's stuff you have to have. But beware that it will usually only be current floor stock. But they will have sales all through the year too - so if there is stuff you don't need immediately once bubs is born, then wait till the next sale.
