    valco relax glider chair

just wondering if anyone has this chair? any good points/ bad points about it? it is quite expensive at babies galore and they dont have any on the floor to see or try out so dont really want to spend 400 on something i have only seen a picture of. anyone know where else these can be purchased?

lol well I don't THINK I do have that exact brand... but what I have looks VERY similar! (but not identical).

I bought mine thinking it was a real splurge... didn't REALLY need it. Well I just love it. Being able to swivel AND glide is a god-send. Must admit I don't use the ottoman a heap (I just use a little footstool to stabilise my feet & lift my knees - I'm a shorty).

But honestly, I love it to bits. I've heard others say they didn't get much use/enjoyment out of theirs, so I guess everyone's different.

In regard to trying it out, I would definitley look to sit in it if you can. I found some fitted me far better than others, and you really want to be comfy in it! Dunno what stores are in Brissie, but most decent size baby stores seem to stock glider chairs.

mrsC, how much room does it take up? is it quite large, the photo in the catalogue makes it look really wide. what colour did you get?

it takes up a bit of room, but largely cause u have the footstool as well. widthwise its not too bad I dont think, is no bigger really than getting a normal recliner I reckon
we've got it in our family room, perfect spot for tv watching (or cricket watching as DH says lol). DH got me black so it would be more versatile if we ever move!

DH got me one for my birthday in the Sand colour and I can't wait to pick it up next month!!
One of our friends also got one for their first DD and both parents loved it.
I agree it is best to have a look at it first but I don't think you could go wrong with any form of comfort

We did lay by in January as my birthday is in March but I know it was in stock.

As a FYI, Baby Kingdom on-line sell them and are really good with pricing.
We bought everthing from them and they were great with pricing but by DH did the Lay-by at Babies Galore.
