    OiOi

Hoping for some thoughts &/or suggestions.

I've found the OiOi Sugar Plum Leather nappy bag online for $285 with free delivery.

Q1: is the OiOi a useful bag?

Q2: am I being silly considering to purchase a bag before I get a bfp?

    (background: I'm what i would classify as a LTTTC'er @ approx. 17 months)

I just don't see the point in paying as much for a nappy bag as you do for a bassinet, or car seat... lol

I never had an actual "nappy bag" bag, simply a bag I liked, that was an appropriate size and never had an issue at all (even using cloth) ... And it didn't cost anywhere near $300 either.

I got a $20 satchel off Ebay that hangs on the pusher but is easy enough to carry on it's own too. Most satchel type bags have sections similar to nappy bags but without the extra 100-200 dollars tacked on the price tag. As soon as you add anything "baby" into the equation prices tend to increase massively. I think just find a satchel you like with similar to nappy bag setup and you're set. Just a tip though, make sure it has a spare pocket for your purse and keys/phone etc because they suck getting buried under baby junk!

I have an OioOi, its the Herringbone Hobo one. I loved the leather ones, but at the time the cheapest I could get it for was $330, and I just couldn't justify paying that much. But I find it's a great nappy bag, fits all of DDs junk in it, and happily hangs on the pram handle. They come with all the standard stuff, bottle bag, change mat, wipes case which are all great too.

If you love it, and you can afford it, then I say go for it. And I don't think you are being silly buying it now if it's the one you want. You will find once you get your bfp that you are constantly forking out money for this and that, and then maybe you wont be able to afford it, or will feel bad buying it, itms?

Hth, and hope you get your bfp soon hun x

I have spent a small fortune on Nappy Bags and my OiOi is my most fave out of them all. So much more functional than my exxy Storksak

Anyway as Manhattan said, if you love it and can afford it then go for it. Doesn't matter if you have a BFP or not...

My Mothers Group bought me an OiOi nappy bag and it's gorgeous, big enough for both girls things, easy to clean and it doesn't LOOK like a nappy bag.
It's not one of the leather ones but a friend has one and she can't fault it, says it's the best money she's spent on a bag EVER and she has a MAJOR bag fetish...

If it's what you want, you have the $$ then i can't see an issue, we all have things we pay top $$ for that someone else wouldn't.

I agree, if its the one you want, you can afford it now then get it! There where a few items I got when pregnant with DS that I just 'had' to have and I'm so glad I did.

I'm sure your BPF is just around the corner!

I have an OiOi bag and it is fantastic. i've been using it for 3 years now and it's still going strong. it is not a leather one, just one of the fabric ones i think it was about $150 from memory? but seeing as i have used it non stop everyday for 3 years and it has seen me through 2 kids i think it was money well spent.
i think you should definitely buy the one that you want. if you have the money, then go for it hun.
