How many muslin wraps for newborn? Tropical climate

    Hello
I'm due in a few weeks, we live in a tropical town - no winter here, though sometimes at night it gets down to 17 deg!
How many muslin wraps do you think I will need for a newborn?
    Thanks :-)

If that is all you are using, you may need quite a few.

You may get a chucky baby, so you will need enough to keep going when washing some.

Probably want to get a couple of fleece ones as well. DD was born in late november here in perth - it was high 30s-45 degrees for the first weeks of her life, I had 6 muslin, 3 double layer cotton and 3 fleece wraps. A couple were quite large - I still use them now and she is almost 2.
    Charlotte wasnt chucky though

Good luck with your upcoming birth!!

We had 6 muslins for DD(born during summer) and that was plenty for us. Just got 2 packs of 3 from big W.
    Best of luck!

I had 4 for DS who was also born in the summer. I washed every day so that was enough for me. I would suggest between 4 and 6 depending on how often you plan to wash. Also shop around for the large ones as the small ones only last about 4 weeks before they start getting to big.

There are some sized 70 cm x 70 cm. Avoid them, they are too small to be any good in my opinion. You want at least 100 cm x 100 cm, and I liked the stretch ones better. We only had 3 and had to go out when she was a week old to get another 3.

we live in a very dry hot heat especially in summer, Jack was born in late sept I had about 8 muslin, 4 light weight flanny wraps and a few heavier ones, cause feeding at 2am even when its 20+c outside it can get quite cool just sitting there, also I used my muslins as covers over pram as well

    best of luck
