beema or Phil and teds dash

    Hi everyone

DH and I have started looking at prams... I know very early but we want to layby one soon. I have been to look at both the beema and the phil and teds. I know everyone raves about phil and teds but I really don't like the fact to make it useful you have to buy a million add ons, which will really push the price up. However the Beema seems to have all the features the Phil and teds have without the price tag but it has no option for a toddler seat if and when we have our second bubs.

Also we would really love a new one but have seen some absolute bargains on ebay for beemas especially so considering going second hand. Has anyone else gone second hand?

    What do you think?

I brought the Beema Q for my DD and I absolutely loved it!!! I was so devestated that it didn't take a toddler seat. I have now brought a Phil & Ted because I need two seats and I love it too. The phil & Ted takes up much less boot space, easier to manoevour and is lighter. I does suck how you have to pay for everything seperately. I wish I had brought the Phil & Ted first just so I could have saved us some money.
    Good luck making your choice.

    Thanks guys

I read the product review which is what totally sold me on the beema.. it seems the only reason anyone gets rid of it is when next bubs comes along.

Teagz - I'm not sure if the handle moves but i know the way you place the bassinette in the baby faces you which is what i wanted.

Liviam - That is exactly why i am confused this is our first bubs.. so not sure if we need to upgrade. I can buy a really good condition second hand Beema for $200 with all acc at the moment so not sure if to just go with that and get a phil and teds later when not needing to outlay so much money for baby no 1.

we got a beema q with DD#1 and I LOVED it (actually, I still love it!!)

I got a P&T after having DD#2 - we got ours on ebay.

I would much rather not have to use the P&T, but it is handy when I need both of them in the pram.

I'm a P & T fan here. Bought it when DS was on his way - and now I wish I'd just bought it from the start!

P.S - no - you can't reverse the handle Teagz.

    I have a beema.
I love the way it steers, the size, and that it goes up to 22kg

I hate the fact that you have to turn it upside down to store it in the car, which means if you have blankets etc lining the pram as we do then they fall on the ground a lot of the time/
