    iCandy pram?

    Hi ladies

Browsing at Baby Kingdom today & saw a stroller called an iCandy? Very cute, LOVED the purple and the teal. Just wondering if anyone had one and what you thought of it? DH a bit worried about price.

    Cheers!

    Re: iCandy pram?

    Hi
I looked at it today, it's so pricey, comes with a toddler seat which can't be used for a newborn so you need the bassinet cpl hundred extra and then if you want to use it for two children you have to buy a dbl setting $600 extra so then the original toddler seat it comes with can't be used, you can't use a bassinet and toddler seat together. If you're only having one child in the next few yes then great because it's light and narrow and really pretty but if you plan for more then I don't think it's so great. Strider plus seems better but cons are it's heavier and wider but about half the price or cheaper. Grrr prams, I want to design my own!

i dragged DP down to our local baby supplier to look at their prams just now **Insert evil face here** MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!

I like the ICandy, but the air wheels really put me off. They are not too badly priced either, $898 which includes the bassinette (sep the bass is $275)!! I do love how they are easily interchangeable with twins/toddlers

I did like the Quinny, LOVED the cushion for bubba to sit in!

My fave is still the Emma, tbh, I think the emma is what i'll be getting

My DH ruled it out immediately because of the name - he would not push something called iCandy!

We've lay buyed the iCandy apple today, see my other post (under should I buy a tandem pram?) in this section for the reasons why we went with this one... the company brochure says you need to use a baby capsule to start with, but the pram seat does fully recline and the lady in our shop said the capsule was not necessary. there is also another review of the iCandy apple on youtube by Baby Gizmo and she basically says the same thing, that in her experience newborns have been fine in the pram seat in its fully reclined position.
