So.... I'm probably just desperate and clutching at straws but has anyone had any success with those lightshow/ lullaby things? they project images on to the wall and play music supposedly helping bub to go to sleep. Saw one in the supermarket today and just wondered if anyone had success with these to help bub go to sleep?
my bub is a whole lot younger than yours but it works a treat for her. she started off having to be in a deep sleep to go to bed - now i can put her down awake (but drowsy from feed kwim?), put her light show on, and she'll babble herself to sleep rather than screaming the house down. we have only had to rock her to sleep once in the past 8 weeks - and that was in the week after her injections...
Jazz used to like it, but now she just tries to play with it. Its good to keep her distracted in the wee hours but it just buys me time LOL she doesn't fall asleep to it anymore. When she was a newborn it was fantastic though.
Guess its worth a try though right. Jazz still loves hers, it just doesn't put her to sleep any more.
Ours is a mobile, i thought I should mention, and she can get to it from her cot as its attached to her cot bars. That probably makes a HUGE difference, if she couldn't get to it it might be more effective? lol
I brought one about 3 weeks ago, clutching at straws. Harrison loves it, calls it starlight but will not go to sleep with it on. He gets too excited about the pictures .
Leash this one is like a projector thingy. Not sure where I would put it but from inside the cot it would be inaccessible.
Mum2.... bummer....
Hopefully it will stop her cracking it the second she is put in the cot... for $18 I figure I can't really go wrong
We had ours hanging on the side of the cot, until Emily learnt how to turn it off and on, now it's sitting on the drawers beside the cot where she can't reach.
Yep we had one too for our second child. We actually had one of the aquarium looking ones that goes on the side of the cot that plays music and kind of blows bubbles with soft lighting, also one of those star ones that plays music and puts a light show on the roof. We used both (at different times of course!) and she loved it. Never had dramas putting her to sleep.
