Would love to hear from anyone who has TWINS and a bag big enough to carry all their stuff.. otherwise just some ideas in general.
One of the girls @ MG has offered to organise a new nappy bag for me for #2, she was thinking an Oi Oi bag which i love but can be quite expensive.
I was given a 2nd hand one with DD that has nearly fallen apart!
I told her i am not worried about the brand or the cost just want it to look nice and be big enough for 2 kids... so any suggestions?
What brand, a particular style, do's and don't for bigger bags etc?
We might be going to look together soon which will be great, would love to have some ideas 1st though.
hun, i have an isoki hobo (i think that's what it is called) - it's fairly big and great for us cos we use cloth nappies (which are bulkier than sposies) - it would be fine for taking for two bubbas i think. comes with a nappy change mat, and a couple of other bags inside (i think a bottle insulator and a wet bag maybe) - it IS on the exxy side, but a gorgeous bag - and reversible if you want to change it for a special occassion
I have an oioi hobo and I really like it. Enough room for heaps of nappies clothes and food and usually all my stuff too. Is a bit heavy when it's full, but I reckon you'd get that with any roomy bag.
I was spoilt by my girlfriends and got given a MIMCO nappy bag. I think it would be plenty big enough for twins. Infact I'm looking at getting asmaller one just for ducking to the shops etc. The mimco one is $250 hence me saying I was spoilt, but it is great, I love it.
I have an oioi hobo too and it's been fabulous! You can get loads of stuff in there. I still use mine and he's over 2 years old. It's been great for putting stuff in for overnight trips too.
I have a Ju Ju Be, if you google it the website will come up. I had the bag called be prepared. It is designed for people with twins.
Only thing is that it can get quite heavy, otherwise is great with lots of different compartments.
I have 3 kids under 4 and live about 50mins from major town, so I have to go into town for a whole day, hence needing to pack for every situation
Thanks everyone, got some looking to do i think.
I love the OiOi ones so think Ren and i will be going after i take DD to the Dorothy concert next week and having a bit of a look around.
Daydream Believer - was it hard to make one? what features did and didn't you include?
Ohhh sounds like a great idea but i can't sew and not sure any of the MG girls can either
Had to work out how big to make it, has a pocket on both sides, and two pockets inside. One big handle big enough to go over the pram handle & I didnt purt any interfacing in it because I wanted it to be flexible so you can fit more in it
I will PM you my FB email so you can add me & have a look at the pics
OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ladies i have been VERY SPOILT!
So we went and looked at nappy bags, i was told not to even look at prices just check out all the BIG bags and see what i liked.
So we were looking and i checked out this OiOi carry all and it was gorgeous, comes with fold out mat, bottle bag, wet bag & wipes container.. each of these has it's own little organised pocket in 1 side of the bag which still has room for some nappies or foods etc.
THEN the other side is a nice OPEN pocket with some little pockets etc for odds & ends.
The outside has some pockets aswell so i might not loose my keys and phone in a giant bag.
So we looked at some others but ren said you really like that OiOi one don't you.. i said yeah but don't want you guys to spend a fortune...
SHE PICKED IT UP AND CARRIED IT TO THE COUNTER... ON THE SPOT!
She said i have to pretend she went back and got it without me looking... and i get it next week at mothers group...
I walked away so i couldn't hear the price but when searching for pics today i found it retails for over $175... i hope she didn't pay this much.. for a nappy bag for ME!
Oh i'm so excited, it's prob the only thing thats made me smile in a week, added a link to some pics... hehe take a look
That is so exciting.
I never had 2 kids in nappies at the same time. I am really into training them and no night nappies nothing at 18 months and the max..
