I'm finding shopping for strollers so confusing. So far I've settled on a BOB revolution SE for jogging with hopefully enough flexibility to manage city outings. I managed to pick up a second hand one at a great price so I'm still under budget. I know the BOB doesn't recline flat enough for a newborn so I'm weighing up whether I should get a capsule and adapter for the BOB or a second stroller? I'm also planning on doing a lot of babywearing so could I get away without one? Any opinions?
Hi,
We've had a few prams/strollers and have probably used the McLaren stroller the most (it can lay flat for newborns). It's lightweight, easy to fold and put into the car and is narrow and zippy in shops etc.
Our first pram was heavy and big and we found with DS2 that we only used it around our country property with the big three wheels when walking (no folding or lifting into cars).
With our third due in 2 months' time, I've bought an Ergo baby carrier and will keep the 2.5 yr old in the McLaren, before booting him out when the baby gets too heavy to carry.
Capsules can get heavy to carry. We had one with DS1 and he never slept in it and after having an emerg c/s I couldn't carry the thing anyway.
Might be worth just waiting and seeing, the carrier might be enough til bubs is old enough to use the pram that you bought or you can get a second hand stroller for the first few months that reclines flat.
