Brand New Mattress for Baby's cot

    Hey Girls

Just wondering how long it took to get the plastic smell out of your baby's mattresss?

I am thinking of opening it now so the smell is well and truly gone by the time baby comes, but dont want it to get dusty

    TIA!

Interesting question - haven't had to do it yet but I'd suggest maybe unwrap it then cover with a sheet or something? Cloth doesn't stink like plastic does

I did think to wrap the mattress in one of our queen sized sheets - at least it can air out while still being protected!

If we dont leave the Ari's bedroom door open her room smells of wood LOL

I made DS's bed up at 37weeks, then just put fresh sheets on it when I got home from hospital.
