Question P&T Vibe with toddler seat question

DH & I bought a P&T Vibe for DS2 & the baby. We also got the toddler seat.
My dilemma is that DS2 doesn't seem to fit in the toddler seat properly. He is way too tall and sits all awkwardly in it.
So, do I persist with putting DS2 in there or do I put the newborn in there? I am so confused about it all now.

DD was sitting awkardly in hers too (she has just turned 2) but she seemed to settle in and loves it. She has no problem falling asleep in it either. I would perserve for a while and see how it goes. I wouldn't like to put a newborn in the toddler seat straight away as they have to head control or being able to sit up without flopping around. Plus being underneath helps keep them a bit warmer and protected on these cold days.
I'm really looking forward to when DS is bigger so he can do in the toddler seat and DD can sit in the front. I think that is going to work really well.

Is the vibe seat different to the dash one? (We have a dash). I wouldn't put a newborn in the toddler seat... I'd wait til bubs is at least 4 months and even then not if they don't have good head control. Newborns should lie flat. I'm sure your DS will get used to the seat - is he complaining, or is it just that he looks funny in there? DD likes being up in her "high seat" so maybe make a big deal about how cool that is if he's complaining about it...?

The thing is... even if the newborn goes into the main pram he or she will not be flat as the toddler seat is in the way underneath if that makes sense. It's not just that DS looks funny in it, he looks really uncomfortable in it. We've yet to take him out in the toddler seat as we've had no reason to as yet. The toddler seat does recline slightly though. It's all really confusing. I am thinking that I will just carry the bub in the sling or HAB until it has better head control and push DS around in the pram in the mean time.

When you have a newborn lying flat the toddler seat is ment to go on top of this so that newborn is flat.

ANd seat goes behind when newborn can support head on there own around 4 months and then when seat on back small child is in back and older child in main part.

    :yeahthat:
The toddler seat clips in where the handlebar is in the front so little bubs can lie flat. In the dash there're zippers down the inside that make it go even flatter.
Where did you buy it from - did they give you a demo? I'm sure you'll work it out, but if not, I'd take it back and tell them to show you. GL!
