Can anyone tell me where I can source drawer liners using natural oils, rather than synthetic scent? We have some drawer liners for bub and they're cute, but they reek of synthetic fragrance so I don't want to use them.
Otherwise I might have to try making my own. I assume it's safe if I sprinkle some lavendar oil on some paper and then put bub's clothes on top?
I wouldn't sprinkle the oil straight on the paper because it could transfer to the clothes (esp cotton) and leave an oil spot.
Jackie french had a drawer liner recipe a few years ago that involved mixing up oils etc into a flour-based claggy glue, then painting that onto plain/brown paper and sticking pretty paper on the top. If you google you might still be able to find it.
I would probably be more inclined to make some scent bags - like the lavender bags mum used to put in her undie draw lol
Very simple and easy, you can use dried rosemary, lavender, rose, and add a few drops of oil to it every so often to renew the scent, they work wonders and a easy to change once you get tired of one scent (lavender drives me bonkers after a short space of time, so I like to be able to change them over for something new)
Nutmeg and cloves are ace too.
Thanks for those ideas. I might just line the drawers with pretty paper and create some scent bags. I agree that lavendar can get a bit old sometimes, but it's a good base.
My favourite scents are vanilla and honey - any idea how to get a natural honey scent?
