    breast pumps????

Really can't decide between going with Avent electric breast pump or Tommee Tippee. Any words of advice - hope so, the Babies r Us sale starts next week!

I would reccommend googling reviews. Is the tommee tippee electric? I got a medela swing so Im unsure of how good those brands are sorry. Good luck though

    Hello Tracey9

I agree with Peach in google reviews. Thats what I did and it all came down to a very small details that suited me. I bought the Avent electric (mainly cause I had used manual previously and it didnt ever work like I wanted (and that was a tommee tippee, but we are talking over 8 years ago...lol)

I chose Avent electric because I soley use Avent bottles.

    All the best

Welcome to BB, it's a great place to get hints, help and advice.

Do you have your baby yet? I ask as it will help to know what your flow is like for expressing.
I found the best one was the Avent manual pump. I am going against the grain here, I just found I didn't need the electric.
If you have friends who have breast pumps, ask them to have a go of theirs first and see what works best.

I have the avent isis manual pump too. Its faaaantatic! However i only use it if i need to leave ds which isnt often. Might be a bit tedious if its for more full time use

I have a tommee tippee electric and an Avent manual In the early days my tomee tippee was fantastic but I found it too noisy and it wasn't draining my breast very effectively. It was VERY gentle though and super easy as we use TT bottles. Now I just use my Avent manual and I actually prefer it because I find it quicker to use the manual pump - go figure? If I had any trouble getting milk out I would absolutely go back to the TT electric though. Hope this helps.
