I went through a few different prams and tried all the different set ups when DD2 was born and DD1 was 12 months - side by side, one in front of the other, P&Ts. I found that one in front of the other was really hard to push with any real weight at the front. That was a Babylove. I hated the P&T - the baby in the "back" seat gets a lovely view of people's ankles and that's about it. I found going down any sort of hill meant I was constantly kicking the seat. DD2 hated it. Had a side by side stroller - Steelcraft. It was ok at the very beginning with serious lightweights, but after the girls got a bit bigger the little wheels made it difficult to manouevre.
What I was happiest with was a big, heavy Valco side by side that I never ever put in the car, but used for walking. For the shops I had a city mini double which was briliant to manouevre and not too wide. Nice comfy seats and both the kids seemed happy. The Valco was I think about $750 and the city mini about $500.
