Would you buy a double pram?

DS will be 2 1/2 when new bub comes along. At the moment we have a Bugaboo cameleon and use it nearly every day.
I'm not sure if I should keep it and get a buggy board or perhaps sell it and get a Phil & Teds with a doubles kit. How often did you use a pram when your lo was 2 1/2? Would it be worth buying a new pram iyo?
    Thanks!

We have the P&T and just bought a doubles kit for #2. DD will be 3 when this one comes along and she still uses the pram on a regular basis. We got the P&T originally because it is a good pram and it does have the option of the double kit. Now that #2 is on the way I am glad we did, as we just had to get the extra seat to covert it.

When DD decides to stop using the pram we can just take the second seat off and it's back to a normal pram. My friend has the same pram and she still used it when her eldest was up to 5 years as she would often get tired walking and want to sit in the pram so I expect to use the double for a while yet.

i would......even if you time your shopping trips so 2.5 yr old wont be there long, what about day trips out with the family, markets, picnics, soccor games etc - you dont want to be restricted with the time you are away from home, or even worse, be pushing a pram AND carrying your 2.5 year old (i think we've all been there).

There are plenty of reasonably priced tandem or side by side strollers under $150 these days, that a) will last the distance b) do the job. You dont need to spend $600+ on a pram.....thats my opinion anyway.

    Good luck !

It would be such a shame to have to get rid of your Bugaboo - I would just get the skateboard attachment for it!!

    Hey Lauren!! Congratulations
I'm interested in this too. We're seriously looking at a new one because I think even at 2.5 DD will be a shocker if she's not strapped into/onto something, LOL!
I don't mind what we have but DH is really keen on a 3-wheeler so I think we'll be looking at the P&T. Apparently you can find good deals if you keep an eye out for specials.

Yes you can get really good deals on them - also keep your eye on eBay as many people sell the pram with the doubles kit.
