Hi, does any one have a steelcraft cruiser pram? I like the look of them as they look very sturdy and I want to buy the bassinet part too? any opinions on them - good and bad?
I have one and I love it. I have both the bassinette and the chair part. Mr 3 weeks has only used the bassinette but it is great, I haul him around everywhere and he just sleeps thru it all.
Downsides, you have to completely remove the bassinette to collapse the pram, this only takes 2 secs, but it also takes up a fair bit of room in your car. The seat has to be completely upright on the chair for it to fold up, but you dont have to detach it. Also, be aware if you are planning on doing some off roading that cause it doesnt have blow up tyres, the ride can be rough, even on cobblestones or dodgy footpaths. Blow up tyres are smoother but you can get punctures.
Collapsing takes practice, but is easy once you get it dialled.
Overall, it is great, I love mine, I would never leave bubs to sleep in it unless I was around, but I can spend hours at the shops and he never stirs. (it also doubles as shopping trolley, just shove bubs right up the end)
Just be aware, if you buy the car seat portion (capsule) that it only works as a rear facing seat, so will only do for the first 6-9mths.
HTH, feel free to ask more Q's![]()
Hi Shellsbells, did you buy yours at Target? are there any other shops you can get it from that are a bit cheaper?
Hi erybery, I have the cruiser too- just not a bubba to put in it yet. we bought the whole package inc the bass and the capsule. I have it set up with the bass atm and just practice putting it up and down. It seems really easy to wheel and manouvere. I have also "stalked" a few mums at the shops who had the capsule on the pram with their tiny babies and they loved it. Our Blake is due in July so not having to disturb him from the warm seat in the cold is a bonus for us. We would always have used a capsule so having to get a car seat later on is no bother.
The product is exclusive to Target and is actually pretty cheap already when you compare it to the "strider" which is the baby shop version and almost 40% more expensive (we paid about $550 for everything on sale). Maybe ask when their next baby sale is on? Or 20% off the store etc. We laybuyed ours when they had their big baby sale on.
Goodluck!
Hi FT - you adjust the chair/seat rather than the handle - ie the whole seat lifts out and can face you or face the front.
My baby is only 8 days old but we have found the ability to attach the capsule to the pram frame - AWESOME - so easy - I would highly recommennd
hello control freak,

hi ery! i dont have the steelcraft but wanted to make a suggestion.
are you planning on have more babies? if u are, wat age gap are you looking at? might seem odd but if u know u will be having more you might want to think about getting a pram that can have a toddler seat attachment ie-valco baby or something, im not familiar with the steelcraft so they might have the option, just something to think about so u dont buy an expnsive pram only to have to buy another one if you have another bubby!
Im not sure about this pram but i have purchased Steelcraft Acclaim pram. it has got all the features like reverse handle, light weight, four wheels and all wheels lock indvidualy its around $300 and $350.
hopfully its helpfull for you .....
Hello everyon,
i am looking in the current target catalouge at the steelcraft cruiser, i was just wondering can the change position, does it click out so you can have bub facing you or fancing out.
Thank you and can not wait for the answer as i love this pram
