    Steelcraft Cruiser Pram/Stroller

ok - we went shopping on the weekend and everytime im out and about im always on the lookout for what other people have as their strollers, kind of like an interactive catalogue of strollers if you know what i mean hehe... mainly because i cannot find one that i truly like!! how frustrating! i think i will leave this as one of my last purchases for baby. anyway, i saw one pass by that caught my eye. i had to almost power walk just so i could see what brand/style it was! it was a Steelcraft Cruiser. There isnt much info/reviews online so was wondering if anyone had any feedback on it?? apparently its sold exclusively through Target and very similar to the Strider 4 which i have put on my shortlist... what do you gals think of it?? this is my first baby so need something comfortable for a newborn. if you have any other rec's similar in style to those mentioned above would be great!!

My girlfriends got one and loves it, I've used it while pregnant and it's very easy to use! I was going to go the steelcraft strider as well but have gone for a swallow bemma Q 3 wheeler from babyco got talked into after reading the review from choice magazine! Hopefully someone else who's used the pram more can help you out!
    Best of Luck!!!!

    Strider vs Cruiser

Hello. I read your post re the strider vs the cruiser...I am mum of 2 and expecting no 3 and have decided I like the idea of the travel system (of which the cruiser and strider can be part of) I was just wondering what you ended up with (obviously you posted this in July and it is now October) and are you happy with the choice?? catherine

hi Nolsie. i havent actually got any pram yet. but i went to Target yesterday to check out the Cruiser and its awesome for the price its selling at ($349 i think) and looks good. it seems very lightweight and easy to steer, and the handle is height adjustable, perfect for a shortie like me. im quite petite and im tired of the big bulky prams that are around these days makes it much harder to find a pram, but the Cruiser makes me feel comfy and doesnt look massive on me. still need to get hubby's approval though. the capsule i think was $279. the only thing im worried about is that i dont think the seat fully reclines (the sales lady told me thats how far she thinks it went). its on a slight angle and not sure if a newborn wld be comfy. i hope baby wld be comfy though coz i just adore this pram. i also like the Bertini X2 but the Cruiser is much more cheaper...

Snoopea - do you know if the seat fully reclines? suitable for a newborn? or is it best to get the bassinet with it??

actually, just check the Steelcraft website and its says "Full recline backrest suitable for newborn to 17kg"

    Hi there

I have this system and yes it is ideal. I purchased it from target, i have the car seat and base, the wheels and the pram seat plus rain cover. It is so ideal as the base part stays in your vehicle, you clip the capsule in and out and it clips straight into the wheels. You don't have to wake or startle baby at all. This you can use for a very long time depending on the size and weight of your child. Lots of heads have turned when i am walking around the shopping centres, i have been approached many times also and asked questions regarding it. My son is long and growing very quickly so i have actually now bought a steelcraft terrain and am going to sell the whole system very soon. This is something i would recommend definitely.

Is the rear axle on the cruiser any smaller than the strider? The issue I have with te strider is that its so wide at the back that apparently it struggles to fit through a lot of store checkout aisles. Not an issue for me as Id use a sling and we only go to the supermarket if we need a trolley - so wouldnt have a pram but DH is refusing to buy one on this basis - just in case!

I am buying the Cruiser and the additional Bassinet attachment but as we have a car seat I dont need the car seat part. I have tried out a million prams and keep going back to this one, its so lightweight and easy to push, put up and down..... and if you wait until Target have a 20% baby sale (which seems to happen every 4-6 weeks), you can get it for a bargain price!!
Luckily for me my MIL offered to buy the pram, so have given her a catalogue picture and told her to wait for a target sale heheheehe
