I had fun!
Got some cloth nappies in bright colours (not using cloth but just thought they'd be handy for burping etc).
2 pack of bassinette matress protectors for $5
Cot sheets for $10
A pack of 2 hooded towels for $10 or $15, can't remember
Mirror for car for seeing baby in car seat
Sun shades for car
Baby nail clippers for like $2, lol
I think that's it. Maybe I should have looked at breast pumps, hmmm..... I don't know anything about which is best tho.
How cute are those little fluffy jackets with the ears on the hood!! lol. I wanted one but no idea what size baby will be when the weather is right for wearing it.
rayray - haven't seen medella pump in target at all
SJ - i would just get the hooded jacket in a slightly bigger size than you guesstimate - i grabbed it in a size 0 i think - figure it is something we could use right through winter autumn and spring so it's not really something i needed in a specific size... they really were gorgeous!
don't worry BG - you aren't the only one!
I had a quick look at ours yesterday (and it's a real Target not Target Country) but they had really limited stuff.
Going to put a blue and pink layby on today separately so at least the poor little mite will have some new stuff.
The 5 packs of jumpsuits for $20 are great!!
BG- I think I just might go back and get it, it was too cute to pass up!!
i had a mix of pink and blue stuff in my layby - but pink far outweighed blue! had to buy for a little man that is due to arrive a few weeks before our gremlin! if my nephew had any say in it, said little boy would have ended up with LOTS of stuff!
FJ - I was in Target in Penrith today and had a look at the double pram for you. Was it the baby love navy and red one? That's the only double I saw. It is 25% off, $171. I nearly laybyed one myself but got spooked, it's a bit early for that stuff for me yet so am going to think about it over the weekend and maybe go back on Sunday to grab one. They had 4 left that I saw.
I got the girl to get it down so I could have a good look, looks pretty good, the back reclines all the way down so even an almost newborn baby could sleep in it (Iain would be fine).
Will send you a PM in case you don't see this.
thanks for the antilop info trish! you have decided it for me :D
Wow! Seems like Target is doing some big business!
I also printed a list off Target website - but something strage happened
My SIL (and bestie) crossed off the Highchair - she has 2 I can have and the nappy wrapper as she is TT her girls ATM she also loaded my Mums car with 2 massive bags of clothes and linen, a bag of gorgeous bottles, cups, plates and containers for babies/toddlers and a hexagonal playpen - with a bassinette to come and a change table!!!!
We went to Taget at Castle Hill and checked out the cruiser and I tried her 2.5 yo girls in it and they lloved it - really easy to push etc. Her 5yo also wanted a go and tho being a bit tall said it was comfy too! Also checked out cap - looked lovely - BUT no pram in stock! So headed to Rouse HIll where my SILs MIL works and their store is LOVELY really quiet and heaps of stock - so lay byed the pram, cap and bass (tho bass will be a pressie from SIL) and agel care monitor and a pram shade thingy! for $682!!! Was about to also get a car seat (for my Mum and us later) when SILs MIL said "I have a nearly new converitble seat you can HAVE!!! (All her grand kids nearly out of car seats and she needs two for twins so she uses SILs car when she has them!) she also has a bath and other stuff for me (How nice is that!!!!) THEN she headed to lay-by with me and used her staff card to get me an extra 5% discount!!!
So I am really pleased (even DH was happy!) and bought a black mat dress for work (the one in the cataloge) and a few tops from Big W!!
Glad lots of people are getting bargains!! I might go to my local (Erina) and get a car seat mirror - good idea SJ and also car window shades.
I will pick up l/b in 6 weeks after I head to Syd for morph scan at 19 weeks! Might look at clothes then if we kno the gender - tho could open a store with all the girly hand me downs i have!!!
Keep on shopping girls - isn't that what Kevin wanted? We are doing it for the economy!!!
ooooh I bought the brown version of that dress the other day when they had 20% off all dresses. wore it last night, did my hair and makeup and gave hubby a lovely surprise when I picked him up at the train station :) it is soooo comfy and cool hey!!
we're heading to target after work today to stock up on some more stuff!! I wanna get one of those lil jackets with the ears too..figure will get a 00, which should do for the long ballarat winter from May through September rofl
I bought the 3 piece suit, the little booties are so cute. I too thought about the jacket but they didn't have any in 0000.
After spending so much money yesterday I thought I was done, then when my darling husband came home last night and I showed hime everything, he said Oh! you didn't buy the angelcare monitor, so I went back today to get it and also ended up getting the baby elmo nappy bucket! soo cute!!
Looks like everyone is stocking up and doin well!
Did anyone notice if the avent dummies were on special or where they just normal price?
I love the little jacket too, put one for dd2 on laby so she would have something new for winter and 2 other cute outfits, she is 2months and in 00 so I got a 0 hope it will fit her. Got 5 new outfits for dd1 on laby. I also put the hipod barcelona booster seat on laby as it got the best choice review and was $100 off.
I always wait for target to have a sale before I buy new season clothes for dd1, no pint paying full price when they have so many sales
sounds like everyone has got some bargains
Avent dummies were 20% off.
Those fluffy jackets dont come in 0000 :(
It doesn't, the lady at my target told me they sold out!
Will need to go and get some dummies then!!
i would be reluctant to get the fluffy jacket in a 0000 anyway - you'll find you have lots of clothes underneath if it's cold, so going a size up will make it last longer - and will take it through not only winter, but a transitional season (spring/autumn) as well...
I was so disappointed. Castle hills tore didnt have anything that i wanted from my list! :(
I have a frriend who has the Bright stars swing but in pink and got it from babies galore. The only problem with it is that it requires batteries and you use a set of batteries everyday so can work out rather expensive overall.
I did get this plush seat on layby that helps to support baby sitting up when that time comes. It is adorable.
