When did you put your cradle up? What week?

Just wondering when you plan (or have you already) put your cradle/bassinet/cot up? I know you can do it anytime. Just wondering when people have done it. I am thinking probably 30 weeks. I have the change table up, but I want to wait a few weeks for the cradle to go up. It will be next to my bed, so the room will get crampier. (but will be a nice reminder the baby will be here soon). May 30 seems so far away though.

I think you're more eager with a first baby to get it up.

I might wait til my 28 week 3d/4d scan. I couldn't find out the sex of bubs at 19 weeks. I feel like march 13 is FOREVER away. I can't get excited about buying any baby clothes.

Cathy - March 13th IS forever away!!! 7 weeks IS forever!! I am hanging for that date too

We have put most stuff together already but I am starting to struggle with my pelvis so that is why. The cot still has someone else sleeping in it though the bassinette is in our bedroom ready to go though. The only thing I need to set up now is the car seats. I am 19 and a half weeks!! I would not be able to do the setting up that we have done on my own though and DH gets back when I only have 6 weeks to go so I didn't want to be doing it all on my own incase bubs decides she wants to be a very early one.

We set it all up for our first baby at about 35 weeks, but that is mainly because I was being lazy and didn't want to have to dust furniture before I brought DD home from the hospital and figured it stayed dust free in its box. I also did that because I am incredibly impatient and it gave me a milestone to look forward to. We kept everything on layby at the shop until we were ready to set it up and we made a big weekend of going around to all the shops and picking up our bits and pieces on the Saturday and spend Sunday putting it all together and setting up the nursery. We probably did cut it a bit fine though

Alioops; So you are waiting for march 13 too eh? hehe Is that a scan date as well?

Townsville Girl: good idea dust wise, but I think 35 weeks is a little too late hee.

I think I will put it up sooner rather than later, as I will only get bigger and DP is hopeless at finding time to put things together!

Ours went up about 6 weeks before bub was due. Then a couple of days before she came DH decided to move everything into our other room.

With my little one, due to working full time till 37 weeks I did not actually set up the bassinet or change table or put seat in care till after that, so at 38 weeks+. Mind you I don't have a nursery or anything like that. The change table goes over our big bath and has the baby bath in it. She now sleeps in a hammock that i got when she was 8wks she never liked the bassinet. And her clothes where washed and put away at 36wks.

with DD I would have been about 36 weeks when we set up the cot & nursery.

with DS I think I was about 37 weeks.

Yes I left them both very late LOL Lucky I didn't have early arrivals!!
