When did you stop using your pram bassinette?

It's time to start facing facts... the tiny little baby that would get lost in the enormous pram bassinette is now a baby that's rapidly grown to be getting close to being too long for it...

I guess I'm kind of reluctant to move to the regular seat as it means he's growing up, but it would certainly make things easier as I believe the pram can then go in the boot in one piece rather than two (we have the strider 3).

Please convince me that at nearly 5 months (and I even find that hard to say!) it's ok to put Sam in the regular pram seat and I don't have to use the bassinette part any more... At what age did you stop using yours?

I stopped a few weeks ago when the little miss would complain about lying flat. She likes to sit up and see So even though she isn't *meant* to be in the seat part of the pram before 6 months (I think - but I am ignoring it so I choose to forget ) she is and is loving it.

And yes - they are growing up way too fast

i have a bugaboo and i moved DS when he was about 5 months I think.... it can still lie down and was great - he was really happy there too...
i remember feeling the same way, i didnt want to switch him and admit he was growing up... but then i loved having the pram that way and him being able to see the world...
    good luck!

I've got the bugaboo too And it is really handy because it can go flat enough for DD and sit upright for DS.

BW - I change DS out of the bassinette when he was 4 months old.

Michelle - how do you go with 2 kids and a Bug? I'm not pregnant but I'm wondering what I will do when I have to go out with both.

We finally moved Sam to the regular pram seat a few weeks ago - and he's loving it!

The silly thing about the strider is that it's possible to use the regular seat from birth... As sad as it is to admit my little boy is growing up, it's great to have him happy in the pram.

Depends on the age difference. Mine are 18 months apart so initially I used a sling / wrap etc for DD with DS in the pram (and occasionally in reverse if the toddler was having a mummy cuddles day). I do have a twin pram as well for longer walks / full days out etc. But I am just about to get the step that attaches to the bugaboo for DS (now 2) to stand on for the usual shopping centre trip and still have the sling for DD if DS needs a nap.
