    what do you think?

Hi Ladies just a quick question. My sister is ttc and her period was due yesterday. She is never late. Anyway 4 days before her period was due she got a faint positive, 2 days before she got another faint positive but darker than the first, today which is one day late she got a positive that was much darker than the other two tests.

She had a blood test today and the nurse told her it was borderline and to get a repeat hcg level done in 3 days. She wouldn't tell her the level however. It sounds to me like the hormone level is increasing as her urine tests are getting darker and darker.

Does it sound ok to you guys? She is freaking out now as the nurse wasn't very nice to her saying "it's another borderline level." in a real scarcastic tone. The urine test she used only detects hcg levels of 20-25 and isn't a borderline level 25or under? If her urine tests are very positive then it all looks ok do you think?

    Many thanks

Sounds exactly right. 25 is considered borderline. So if the tests are 20-25, then this could explain why the nurse said what she said. 25 is a little bit low for a period one day late, but not entirely impossible. Of course, she could have ovulated later this cycle and that could explain the lowish level. Fingers crossed for your sis!

I think it should be fine. She's getting BFP's & they are getting darker!
Hope it all sorts itself out soon!
GL to your sister & what will hopefully be a H&H 8 months or so!

you might find that the doctor is getting repeat tests as the result it under 100 - i know, going through assisted conception, anything under 100 is considered positive, but they will do repeat tests to make sure they're climbing the way they should be.
