Dud packet of FR tests?

Has anyone ever had more than one evap line test?? I've TWO out of the same FR packet!!

I tested on DPO14 in the morning (although not with FMU), nothing came up so I threw the test away. When I got home that afternoon I knocked the bin over while mopping and noticed that it had a very feint second line (DH saw it too, I'm not going mad!)... test again, no 2nd line. Put it down to a dud test / evap line.

I, of course, kept both tests and was having a look at them this morning and noticed there is now a line on the 2nd test.

I tested this morning (DPO16) with FMU and got a very definite BFN.

I was just curious if anyone had ever had more than one false positive??

i am not 100% but i am pretty sure that after the 10 minute time it is totaly normal for some tests to produce evap lines. From what i read of your posts they were not false positives as the lines came up after the 10 minute time period!

I doubt they would be faulty tests if they were negative within the 10 min test time frame. You should disregard any line that appears later and especially the next day.
An evaporation line is just where the line would have appeared if it were positive. There is a chemical there ready to go and change colour if you are PG once it gets soaked with urine. It leaves a mark once it's dried out. I've had it happen myself many times!

I shouldn't have said 'false positive' because you're both right - they are neg tests with evap lines.

I'm just curious to see if anyone else has heard of getting 2 out of the one pack?

Hi I'm new to the site, but I have a question. I been having alot of pregnancy symptoms, my last period was around Nov.11th 2009, I was supposed to get my period around the 8th of Dec. but it was late after a week of not gettting AF I took a test, and it came up positive (Dec. 16th), it wasn't faint at all, so 3 days later i took another test (Dec. 19th) and that one also came up positive. well my grandma was ill in the hospital out of town so i was there with here on dec. 22nd and started to bleed like a normal period so i thot i was having a miscarriage. I couldn't see the dr. cause i was away from home, but the next day i stopped bleeding (Dec. 23rd). then on dec. 24th i started bleeding again, so by then i was home and went to the hospital, but before i went to the hospital i took another HPT and it came up positive but kinda a weaker line then the previous ones i took, but when i got to the hospital they took another urine test and it came up negative, so they took a blood test and that also came up negative, so they figured I was never pregnant or had a miscarriage. So I came home last nite and this morning took another test just to satisfy my mind, I thot well if it's negative then I'll start ttc again. But this mornings HPT came back positive with a stronger line then last nite. So I don't know what's going on, I guess i have to believe the blood results and say i'm not pregnant, but i just wanted to know why i keep getting positive results on HPT. this is my 4th positive and they are not faint lines. they don't evap. either i can still see the one i took 2 weeks ago on the stick. has this happened to anybody? please let me know i'm just confused
