"First Response" HPT and "Discover OneStep" - are they the same?

I'm a repetitive user of First Response POAS tests. I typically buy them in the box of 3 (and multiple boxes at a time)...they are often on sale at the Safeway closest to where we live. I find them to be very reliable and good at early detection.

Last night, Safeway was out of the 3 per box and I couldn't bring myself to spend MORE than I would have on the 3 per box on the 1 stick per box (who ever priced these things).

So, today, I went to a proper Chemist and found Discover OneStep - the box of which states "Australia's Most Sensitive Test". But the box only has 2 sticks, not 3 ... but 2 is better than 1. I get home, open the box and find a stick branded Discover but it looks identical IN EVERY RESPECT to First Response. I pull my empty First Response box out of the rubbish and see that the phone numbers on both boxes for questions are identical ! Are these the same tests? Does anyone know?

Also, does anyone know where to find the sensitivity of HPTs? it's probably in a thread somewhere.

I couldn't tell you for sure, but I also noticed that too and was wondering the same thing!

Resurrecting an old thread because I was wondering the same thing. This is what I found out: both First Response and Discover are manufactured / distributed by Church & Dwight Pty. (Inc. in the US). I don't know if the test inside the casing is exactly the same (I noticed that both the control line and the pregnancy line are wider on First Response than on Discover) but the plastic bit certainly is!
