I ask this because I've just realised i'll be about 8DPO when we go away for the weekend - to a wine region I would never usually think to test then (I'm actually not bad at holding out until around AF time - last time I tested at 12DPO and got my BFP on a regular test - not an early detection one). I'm now wondering what to do.....will it be worth testing that early? If I do and it's negative (which I guess I would expect at 8DPO) I guess I shouldn't drink....which isn't a huge problem as it's a predominantly 'red' area and I'm more of a 'white' drinker, but I wouldn't have minded a few tastes....
I'm pretty sure I got a line either 8dpo or 9dpo last time. I wouldn't stess too much about having a little taste here and there, as lots of ladies consume alcohol without knowing they are pg and everything's fine. GL hun!
As someone who has scoured the world wide interweb for info about when to test (following my many IVF forays) most people get a BFP at around 9 days post ovulation.
Thanks for the info everyone. I guess I might go and buy some early detection tests and try for pot luck before we go away. I wouldn't expect anything (although in saying that, I know I'll be disappointed when I see the BFN - which admittedly is very likely), but would be a nice to get a surprise
11 and 12 DPO here...but that was the first time I'd tested. With this pregnancy, the line was so bright at 12DPO that I'm sure I'd have gotten a positive at 8DPO.
