BD - it became more real for me, with dd, when i saw her formed body in the 12 week u/s and then a bit later on when i felt her kicks....awww i miss thst. Really hope i'm pg again :pray:

LOL.. actually i will agree with rae there, the 12 weeks scan and when i first felt her moving at 15 weeks is when it really kicked in for me.. but wasnt until her 19 week scan where she was soooo real, a little tiny person, everything so defined.. that i really knew..

Lets get over the whole shock of being pregnant first!
As you can probably tell - this pregnancy is a welcomed surprise for DP and I, about 9 months earlier than expected according to our 'plans'
I don't like to say because I know how many of you have been trying for AGES, but we :bd: once on day 12 (we were practicing natural fertility, not using contraceptives) which has been working well since we started 1 year ago. Usually DP asks 'is it ok??' :rolleyes: and I say yes or no, well on this ONE occassion he didn't ask and :fertilise:
So we are super lucky in one sense. DP is so happy, and keeps telling me that its only a little change in our plans, but a VERY welcomed one, and what ever goes to plan anyway??
I suppose I am just going through a lot of emotions at the moment, although termination has never crossed either of our minds, we are in a stable relationship, both financially and emotionally.
Hopefully I will start to feel very excited soon, I get little bouts of excitement and then little bouts of fear too. I suppose this is all normal, my girlfriend cried with fear when she found out she was preggers and they were actively trying!
Anyone in a similar situation?

BD - I was exactly the same as you with my first pregnancy. It was our first cycle of trying after coming off the pill and while I really wanted to be pregnant, when those 2 lines came up - I started crying big time! I s*%t myself! And stupid me did it while I was home alone and the Dh was out with mates!
Needless to say I yelled at Dh for not leaving the pub when I asked him too and so he got told he was going to be a father over the phone with me angry at him. I think it was the shock of it all!
BD - so glad it is a welcome surprise for you. Sometimes i think it's better that way...it has definately been stressful this cycle with all the charting, waiting for o and temp rises etc...ahhhh i could go insane!! And to think that i have put all this pressure on myself and AF may still arrive! Well that's my whinge - sorry - lol.
As for fears, DH and i were really ready when we began TTC #1 so were just overwhelmed with amazement and excitement. The fear didn't kick in until later on in the pg. Sometimes i'd wake up with little anxiety attacks - but got over them pretty quickly. I guess anything new...and lifechanging - is scary. NOw that i have my little Ella i sometimes worry why i ever was worried. I'd NEVER change a thing (if anything just want more bubba's in my family, hence TTC #2).

DP was in bed :asleep: when i did all my test, so I have gone and woken him up each time saying, hmm darker than yesterday and so on..
You know what is even stranger.... last Sunday over brekky, he says 'your pregnant' I had a dream you were pregnant and it was so real, last time I dreamed something so real, it came true the very next day.... I told him he was mad! Its weird, its like he came to terms with it in his dream and there was no :eek: factor for him, just excitment.
DP is in the cops, so im thinking he has sniffed one too many canabis plants, hahah

I can absolutely look back on it as a very funny moment! He did get asked twice politely if he would come home and the third time 40 mins later when he hadn't left, he wanted to know why I wanted him home, so I told him cause I needed to talk to him, and then he just got ****ty back - so I coped him with it!
When he got home, he told me it was the longest trip home ever in his life!! hehehehe

Well, i think its a BFN... did one just now with my FMU.. there was no real trace of a second line until later towards the end of the 5 mins, now i can see a FAINT FAINT FAINT line but id say its just an evap line.. *shrugs* :(
AF is due today or tomorrow... so will see but i have a gut feeling AF will show.. i felt very down last night so, it kinda made me think AF was coming... since i had no reason to feel so blue last night, quite the opposite really since yesturday i basicaly was told i got the job i went for.. (just needed some casual work while my business is still building up) *sighs*
We hadnt started trying yet, but i still feel dissapointed... crazy! We had arranged to start trying after this coming AF... so, guess we will still go on as planned.. *ho hum*
Thanks for all your help and everything guys, was great... and a huge congrats to those who got thier much wanted BFP... especially BD, what a ride... im so happY for you and DH.. I really hope the next 9 months sail by without any major hickups!
One tip i can give: ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF YOUR FIRST PREGNANCY, EVERY UNCOMFORTABLE KICK AT 2AM, EVERY BOUNCE ON YOUR BLADDER... CAUSE YOU DONT FEEL IT FOR LONG, AND THEN YOU REALLY MISS IT & write a JOURNAL.... trust me.. youll regret it fi you dont.. I DO :(
I know i will be taking this pregnancy a little slower (when i fall), JJ's pregnancy i rushed from one ultrasound to the next, i lived for them lol.. and before i knew it, she was in my arms..... :)

Just though id share my dissapointing experience this morning. Got up all excited before DH left for work (just in case), POAS with FMU, and :bfn: :crying: .
I am 13 DPO and approx 5 days away from AF ( i have a 35 day cycle) so i thought i would just try my luck. Now i am wishing that i didnt bother trying and just waited for AF.
Oh well, if i dont get AF ill consider trying again.

BD, i know i know.. i shouldnt but.. guess im trying to just save myself being upset..
Whats weird tho is today i dry reached while changing DD's dirty nappy and when i cleaned spew of her top.. I NEVER dry reach with this kinda stuff.. it was really weird for me.. and i dont 'feel' like AF is coming... like i dont have cramps or anything.. and ive been so tired, which is weird, as i should have a burst of energy the day before AF so i actually wil say i HNFI whats going on... normally i can tell easily.. but nup.. not this time!
The BFN this morning has shockd me... i am 14dpo, so i swore it would show by now.. last time i was preg it showed at 12dpo roughly.. so i dont know.. guess i will know by tomorrow lol

Ahhh girls what happened to the positive vibe that was in here yesterday????? Don't despair - a line is definately a line - even if very faint. I know it's 12/13DPO but you may not have had implantation until day 10..so that's only been 2/3 days and u may need a bit more.
Now as for me i have to be very careful cause i have relo's on here that we want to tell in person....so DH and i have decided to stay hush til after we test on the weekend. Will fill u in ASAP :D All i can say is feeling like AF is coming eg cramps, emotional, even some spotting, tiredness is all normal. Unfortunately pg signs and AF signs can be the same. The heightened sense of smell and the wretching is good!
Good luck girls - hang in there as u may still be in for a chance!!!!!!!!! Give it a couple more days (if u can) and if no AF then test again....yes it'll feel like eternity but you may have a wonderful surprise in the end :hug:

Just out of curiosity, which brand did you use this morning? did you use the same brand that you have been using all along? some brands are still showing me a SUPER feint line - but one in particular is giving me STRONG +.

Well, as yet, NO AF! which is weird for me, as i normally wake to her, and am normally in alot of pain so... im confused!
She still has another 17 and a bit hours to show i suppose.. guess we will see!
I dont feel AF'y at all... i have some slight bloating and slight cramps which come and go, but nothing to suggest AF... i feel nausea's same as last week, only it is a little stronger today i will admit... so i dunno... hrm.. ho hum!
A lady on another forum i have been a member of since before i fell pg with my DD said the best line i have ever heard regarding the whole am i arent i debate....

Miss Pink- don't despair...you still did get a faint line didn't you. Have you had any more since?
Well i can proove that a line is a line (i can finally come clean)...on Wed i tested and got the faintest line ever - i was sure i was imagining it. I also had the worst period like pains, spotting - so i was certain AF was on her way too. So i went and got a blood test and the results have come back.....a :bfp: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhh - i'm still in shock! I'm only early days, about 3-4 wks with a HCG level of 58 (but it's prob doubled by now), which is why it wasn't showing up on my tests very clearly.
I'm sooooooooooooooo excited :dance:

Firstly CONGRATULATIONS:dance: You give us all hope! Much appreciated.
Just a quick question, you said you tested on Wednesday, was this the day AP was due or when was she due?
According to when AF came at beginning of cycle - 7.8.06 i'm due 23rd May 07. But i know i didn't ovulate until CD26 instead of my usual CD22 so i extended my cycle by 4 days. AF was supposed to be due last Sat/Sun but i decided to test Wed...taking the long cycle into account. But to complicate things further implantation is supposed to occur 7-10 days after o but i know due to spotting and cramping that implantation occured on Mon (the 10th day). Which is why the line was exceptionally faint on Wed...i'm surprised it showed up at all as it was only 2-3 days after implantation. So according to my dates i should be 51/2 wks pg but the dr has confirmed by Blood test HCG levels that i'm only 3-4wks.....so i was correct in putting my cycle back further. Sorry - that prob made absolutely no sense what so ever. Check my chart - it might make things clearer :)

I am a little worried this morning, as last night and today i have a little 'brown/pink' tinged CM, not enough to wear a liner but there nonetheless, I am on 14DPO today, so its definately no implantation bleeding as I have been getting +'s since last Sun!
Ive also been experiencing cramping on and off, nothing drastic, but noticable. Anyone else had this? :help:
Yeah i've been getting bad AF-like cramping in the back and front and brown/pinkish spotting on and off for 3 days now. I spoke to my Dr about it and he said that's normal as the uterus is just making the changes and stretching and stuff for the bub. He said not to worry unless it becomes red blood and more of it. You'll be fine :)

Its been such an emotional roller coaster for DP and I over the last week - he has always been 100% :dance: but i have taken a little longer to get used to the idea, i hope it will be ok, what concerned me is that today is AF day for me, and i know that i implanted around 7 days ago, so to think it was 'implantation spotting' was a little hard for me.

May I ask... are you getting alot of spotting, eg. enough to wear a liner? mine seems to be in the CM, nothing when I wipe but when checking CM on my fingers (sorry if TMI):p
Yep - sounds the same. I find it mostly in the morn and the evening. If AF is supposed to be due today then that's also normal - cause sometimes your body has a little break through bleeding. That happened to me in my first preg...i was freaked so my GP sent me for an u/s to rest my mind. I got to see my tiny little dot with a heartbeat (that was at 5 1/2 weeks). SO if it continues and you are stressed just check with your Dr...but it does sound COMPLETELY normal to me :hug:

Hope everyone is doing well. I need a little clarification on sore breasts symptom, SORRY IF THIS IS TMI, i dont ever get sore around AF, so thats why im confused, but this month they feel tender and what is most sensitive and "sore" is the nipple. Is this what you should be feeling or is it usually the whole thing that should be sore? Sorry this really is TMI but i need clarification.:doh:

ETA: I feel like I am cold and my "headlights" are on but they almost sting, so much so that I have to cover them with my hands to try and "warm" them up to stop the stinging. (Sorry was the best way I could describe it!)
My BB's usualy get sore about 5 days before AF for 1 or 2 days. This month they were sore earlier, I think 9 days before AF and they are still sore.... my nipples are fine, but my actual BB's are heavy and achy, so much so, I had to go and buy 4 new bra's today, ive gone from a 12c to a 12d in a week! :eek:

Just thought id share my dissapointing news.. AF decided to pay me a visit. Its hard when you get your hopes up and the dreaded witch appears!!! DH and i have been TTC for three months now and out of all the months i just had such a good feeling about this month. Oh well, have to stay positive for next month. It just breaks my heart for DH because he is so clucky. :crying:
