Darkest second line yet yesterday then NO line today - what the??!!

    Hi All,

Have been using the Confirm ovulation tests, and the line got darker by the day.

Then I ran out of those and had to use a First Response ovulation test. Because the line was almost as dark yesterday as the control on the Confirm, today I do a test with First Response and there is NO LINE AT ALL!

    What is the problem here?

Did it at the same time as well.

Was expecting it to be today because the line was almost as dark yesterday.

Now I'm disappointed and confused. What's wrong?

    Cheers.

Hmm, maybe your LH surge was yesterday. I used OPK's for a couple of cycles and found that when I had my LH surge the test line never got as dark as the control - but was darker than previus days if that makes sense. I can't remember what brand I used though.

    I agree!

    I agree totally on this!

Ovulation would be happening shortly then, so I know the drill!

yep, the surge is the darkest line then it very rapidly goes to no line. I was mucking around this cycle thinking I had already O'd but did one a week after I thought and the line was darker than the control line!! I couldn't believe it so an hour later when I went to pee again I checked again and this time it was lighter so I did a second brand and it was the same and by evening it was so faint I could hardly tell. I had O pains 11pm that night and the next day the OPKs were totally white.
