home pregnancy test help please

I just did a home pregnancy test, and the control line came up straight away, was waiting to see if the 2nd line would come up, left it for three minutes, had another look, and there was another line, however it was not vertical like the control line, it was horizonal. Does this mean that hcg was detected or that the test was dodgy?

Sounds like a dogdy test. The second line should only be next to the control, and vertical, unless it's one of those plus sign ones, what does it say/look like on the box?

the box doesnt specify whether the line has to be vertical or horizonal, in the example its verticla though. I'll have to buy a different brand one and retest I think but i just cant handle the wait!!!

If the example is vertical then it's probs a dodgy test hun. What brand is it? (I have a lot of experience POAS lol) I understand about the wait, it's frustrating. Fingers crossed that it's a lovely bfp for you!
