    Question OPK Line timing..

Just curious, is there a certain time frame you go on, or just how dark the line is and stops at?

We BD last night.. (im not currently TTC).. and only just realised this morning i am semi near O.. so i did a OPK test this morning to see how close it was. Normally i get O pains and havent had any EW cm yet (though both can appear within hours of each other). The test line was light to start with but after 10 mins or so was just as dark as the control line.

So do you go off how dark it gets all together or is it just after the first few minutes?

Sounds like a ++ or almost ++ to me... I would wait until it has reached it's full strength (with in the time limit) and accept that as the result.

So sorry to crash your thread, but where do I get OPK tests from? the chemist? supermarket? thanks girls. I wouldn't mind giving it a go... see if i'm right as i get "o" pains and CM changes so i usually guess when I am "Oing"

Thanks Tanya. I had EW last night so i guess im around that time!

Renstar.. you can get them at the chemist or woolies/coles etc. Theyre just with the pregnancy tests. They can be quite pricey though, about $20 each.. so i bought mine of ebay in bulk. Paid about $12 for 20.

Id say youre right with your O pains and CM. I bought them, the same as you, to see if my guess was right and every month it is.. i think its lucky, even though theyre kinda painful, to get O pains so we know when its all happening.

yeah i agree Kell, if your body can tell you little signs and hints that "o" is happening then great! Mine are more like tiny little twinges rather than actual cramping or anything is that the same for you? just slight little ones here and there...and that usually is around CD13-16....i think i might even get a bit bloated but that could just be my fat on my belly!! LOL haha

Ok.. if stupid me would have read the instructions, i woulda got the answers i was looking for! hehe..
It says to wait 5 minutes and read results. Any results obtained after 10 minutes should be discarded. So my test line was lighter than the control line at 5 minutes so thats reads invalid. But ive started to get EW CM and as i type am getting O pains!

Renstar, mine are more like a constant ache, on both sides of my stomach.. maybe similar to AF pains but rather than being down lower its on the sides. I have a book my sister lent me about trying to conceive a certain sex, and it says some women get them like i do, some others report a sharp pain or twinge at the actual moment of ovulation when the egg burst out of the follicle.. which sounds like what youre getting.
I get the bloating too.. hehe but like you am just wondering if is my belly and ive been eating too much chocolate this month!
    Best of luck come september!!!
