Hey Bella, well.. on the upside of things cause my cycle is always 24 days, I get to try again around the 23rd of Dec.
Hubby and I have decided that this weekend we will endeavour to get to our local GP - he's really attentive and only works Saturdays, a little bit more expensive, but he will actually listen to us - and may send us for some tests.
I am still undecided if I should use OPK's again this month. I am also wondering if any leftover sperm from bd'ing can make you get a positive OPK?

Hey darl that sure is an upside.....it's just around the corner.....I have ages to wait if it's a neg (I am really expecting a neg) my (.)(.) are not sore and tender anymore, just huge swollen....but thats from putting 5kgs back on that I just lost a few weeks ago.....I have been eating like mad!
I would use the OPK's again....just buy a different brand....try 1st reponse they are really good.....I got pregnant with my Isabella using them and this time I have them and some ebay ones.
no sperm won't do that to an OPK hun.....it only picks up LH hormone....if unsure google it.
good idea to get a check up, going on your number it sounds like your LP might be to short I have read on the forum's if it's to short it's to hard to get pregnant. so might be worth looking in to that as well.

Hey Bella, how's things... did you get a BFP?
Went to the gp and he did some prelim fertility tests, they look normal ( I got a copy sent home) and hubby had his sperm tested, but no results yet. We go back to the GP on Saturday morning to hear the breakdown.
I am a bit dubious, as the test he did were very minimal, he didn't even check my progesterone.
FSH was 5 U/L
LH was 3 U/L
Oestrodiol was 219 pmol/L
Prolactin was 222 mU/L
All tests were done one CD 8 and I O'ed on CD 12.
Dr thought it could be PCOS but there is no evidence of that at all, even on internal ultra sound - which was done in July. The only thing that was picked up was 2 fibroids, 21mm and 12mm in length.
I am not sure that my letueal phase is short, as there is 14 days between my first postive OPK and the 1st day of my next period (on average)
I am thinking of trying some alternative therapies like meditation and acupuncture, has anyone else tried this?

OK IM NEW TO THIS BUT WE ARENT TTC ,,, although im very aware of my cycles and tracking but a bit confused...is it possible 2 b pg?

dp has no idea but i did tell him i was goin off the pill... as ive ben more depressed with it... so i wanted 2 give it a break i just stopped it 2 wks ago so im not sure if i could fall pg this soon after being on the pill..
while weve been dtd he hasnt pulled out iygwim... im not sure y... i hope he hasnt 4gotten as if i fall pg he will go off,,,, and think ive tricked him.... which i guess i have .. he doesnt want anymore kids ,,, but i told him the other wk i told him i still have reservations...
so i will wait the anxious 2ww , alothough i have tested at 12 days with my last pg and it gave me a positive.. so i may cave in and do it earlier 2.. i just wanna no i hat this part

I have heard that you can be the most fertile after you come off the pill.

anyway my update is no BFP, Af come right on time, so AF has now been and gone, I am on CD 7 today, and my husband has told me he is going away fishing over the weekend after NYE, which is my fertile window, so not happy! so I don't expect to be in the TWW!!! I am praying he goes a day later for somthing, working on it.
thats great you went to the doctors hun, so after all the test have you been given the all clear?
oh I just read the last post so your husband has a low sperm count, so what will they do now?
when is your TWW due to test hun?
If I can pin point my husbnd this month it will Jan 20th! still ages away!

I agree with Kirsty, if you DTD on day 10,12 and 13 and if you O'd on Day 14 or even day 15 it's a really high chance you are pregnant, are you having any symptoms?
mmm DP sound have been pulling out hun, I have never gone back on BC after having my Isabella, we just count the days and he pulls out, it has worked for 2 years, now we are TTC# 2.
I see you have 4 children, looks like your very fertile, when are you due to test?

bella- i fell last yr when dh was pulling out.... but didnt stick...he wasnt happy neither was i we were shocked as we had done this 4 yrs and had no probs....
im not due to test until the 5th jan ....so gotta wait grrrrr
symptoms ive had a few aching bb...and pains in my stomach a bit like period pains... but mayb 2 early really just me over reacting probably noiticing every little thing,,,could mean anytghing i guess we will see

your very fertile, you will have to be super careful by the sounds of things. are you under 30?
5th of Jan is around the corner so not long to wait, I don't O till 5th Jan! so at least your wait is almost over! fingers crossed you get what you want hun.

reason I asked for your age is ferlity is higher under 30, so your chances are higher than mine thats for sure.
could still be to early hun, I have been ready some women get a positive at 9 DPO and others takes 1 or even two weeks after AF being due.

hey I know how you feel, I tried to trick my husband in to number 2 a few times, but he is to smart for me!! my mum use to trick my dad for years, I have 13 brothers and sister so he is super dumb!! hehe

Bella- well ive never exactly tricked him as we spoke about the 4 kids...... i would tell him im not on anything...and we would alwayd dtd usually pullin out so i wouldnt fall pg... but there would b times were we got a bit lazy and didnt feel like pulling out and we would b like woops .... and thats about the size of it ....altough this time im a bit confused .. if he realises im off the pill or not cause he hasnt done the pull out method....a bit scarey really... i have a feeling he may have forgotten,,, and he will blame it on me .. im very worried about it...

sorry I didn't mean it sound like you are tricking him hun, sorry. I so hope it all turns out ok for you, surely he will be ok once it happens, he will get over it espically once the gorgeous bub is born. I would love to have a few more myself, your very blessed children are everything!
yeah my mum was a bit baby crazy, I started later in life so I would't have to many, everyone always thought I would follow in her foot steps! no way! hehehe

when i did mine for my last i got the lh surge for 2 days on my test they hd to be as dark as the tester line and i made my hubby DTD every day and a few days after and we had our baby boy but i dont get my AF til 5 mths after i stop breastfeeding and i didnt get my AF at all after my second as i got pregnant first try. my first took 13 mths to get my AF and after my third took 11 mths so i should start O nextmonth if the pattern remains
bella... - i really hope he would come around after last time who knows he went weired... very scarey only time will tell.. i keep saying 2 myself i shouldnt jump the gun and get worked up as i dont know if in utd yet...but thats real hard...

just wondering with OPK how many times ppl get a faint test line when they're not near o... How many get 2 lines all through without being +
Hi Monika.
with the OPK's not so much the lines you need to worry about it's the colour of the lines, you can have LH in your body all the time and the test can pick it up, but when your going to Ovulate the LH gets really strong making two lines of the same colour (very strong pink/red) the test line needs to be the same colour or stronger than the control line, if so then you have a positive OPK, if you have red Control line and Pink Test line thats a neg,
I usally start to get the 2 lines one red one pink (neg) on day 11 and 12 followed by a 2 red ones on day 13 Positive so I know when it's going to come, it usually last positive with me for 48 hours then I go back to one red one pink (neg) for a day or so, then back to one line.

i got my first positve opk yesterday and am going to do another one today.... my dh and i have been at everynight since my period stoped... this is our 6th month of trying for baby #3 and im desprate for it to happen this month!!
im so nervous and iv got ages to wait....

thanks! will keep you posted it's 6 DPO today, can't remember when I got sore (.)(.) with my 1st but I don't really have them yet, I know if I get them I am prego for sure. as I don't ever get them otherwise, yes I only use OPK's, I did buy a maybe baby but it was to much work and I have thought about taking temps but thats to much work as well, sticking with OPK's they worked with my 1st one, the trick is to baby dance when you get your positive and if you want a boy do it to the very end if you keep testing. my surge last for about 48 hours.

mine are not sore itha..... everyone sez thats one of the first signs. are you going to wait till after your periods due to test or test before hand??? its hard to decide i always test early but when i get a negitive i keep testing hoping it was just to early to tell and end up disapointed and not to mention broke lol. do you count dpo from the first positive or the next day.... or what? im only using opks.... we have been trying for 6 months, i really thought id get pregnant as soon as we started trying because this is #3 for us and it took one time with #2 and #1 was a big (fantastic) suprise after a few accidents..... sometimes i wonder if its coz im trying to hard? everyone keeps saying to me stop trying, if it happens it happens and its more likly to happen that was..... but i cant just stop trying even if i did id still be trying.... if you know what i mean. have only been using the opks the last couple of months so hopfully they will help.

well today is the day for me, still no sign of AF but I don't feel preggo either, so I suspect she will be here soon, which I am ok with.
now in answer to your questions, I count DPO from the next day after I get a Neg OPK, so I test 3 times a day, 10am, 2pm and 7pm usually I get a positive for 2.5 days and it's usally neg by the 7pm on the last day, so I count 1 dpo next morning, does that make sense??
not going to test early as I was waiting for the Sore (.)(.) they haven't turned up so I just know I am not pregnant!
I want to save what test I have for when I just know I am preggo!
Feb is very strong in my head and has been since last year, I was just hoping it was going to be earlier but now I am happy to take it! hehe
this was my 3rd attempt but I think I know why, we still haven't mananged to DTD when we get a positive OPK, it's always been the night before everymonth hasn't help that the positive has been on difference days each time, day 14, then day 12 then day 13, and because I really want a girl, I have always thought ok we will see if it works, so thats the 3rd month of doing that and no baby, so this month I am going to Make sure we DTD on the 1st Positive OPK we get and see how we go, thats how we got pregnant with Bella. so fingers crossed,

you never know tho, i didnt feel pregnant with my other 2 till after my bfp!!! i did a test at 8 dpo and it said neg but then a faint line appered hours later... same thing happened at 10 dpo..... be an evap line. i rang the company to ask them coz i dont know much bout evap lines. they are not very common but happen she said but even tho the test sez you can test at 7-10 dpo its not at all recommended and that iv tested way to early anyway. they are sending me a free test and told me to wait till af due, thats a few more days and the test wont be here till after that id say so i think ill just wait now for af. im getting sore bbs but that dont mean much to me as that can happen round this time of the month for me anyway. fingures crossed for you make sure you keep me posted!

i got af... another month of trying. am tring pre seed this cycle i dont need exta cm but its worth a try, heaps pple say they got preggers first time using it so guess it cant hurt.

Af was right on time, I just knew she was coming as when I am pregnant I just know! any it's CD 9 so I get to try again this weekend, fingers crossed!! I have pre seed to hun and have been using it, but we haven't managed to BD at the right time, always a night before I get a Positive OPK and never after it, as I want a girl so been doing the shuttles method, but this month I am going to break the rules and BD on day 13 and day 14 to see if I fall this time!! wish me luck!

im should 0 next thursday, so i have a week to wait. how do you find pre seed?? this will be our first time using it.... they say pple fall pregnant using it, some even there first time.... do you accually know anyone personally who has??? wish you luck and a fun weekend ;) its funny now after getting af and the amount of pregnancy tests i wasted for nothing (more then what dh knows about lol) im going to try NOT to do that this time.... thinkn (coz iv read you can use opks as hpts... coz they will pick up hcg too) i might just keep testing with opks as i buy in bulk anyway and not test with hpt till i get a dark opk (well if i do)

well it's 9 DPO for me, I don't feel anything, don't feel pregnant and don't feel AF yet, so I am epecting AF will be here in Six days!
my bella is sick with Croup at the moment so haven't been on the computer much.
about the Preseed I don't know anyone that has got pregnant from it to be honest, I do see others talking about it and getting pregnant 1st go using it, so no idea, we have used it on two try's but not sure about it working as we did it to early I think to get pregnant, if it works for you let me know!
our 1st,and 2nd try I was using so many HPT but now I am so over the BFN's that I hold out to AF now, as I hate the heart break of seeing a BFN, unless I feel pregnant I won't test, I don't feel it so no early testing, at least it cheaper that way! hehe

9 dpo is still really early.... fingures and toes crossed for you! hope the pre seed does work... (my dh said maybe it works so well for pple coz its got someone alses sperm in it lol) will let you know how it goes. i am 6 dpo... did an opk which was faint yesterday and faint today (but i always have faint line after o) so going to keep using them for my pee on a stick obsestion and see if they start getting darker before using a hpt. hope your not under to much stress coz thats not going to help... hoping for the best for you, let me know what happens.
