Question How soon can you start colostrum?

OK, So this month DH and I have started TTC for our second child. I would have only been ovulating at some stage over the last couple of days and today I noticed that my nipples have started to get the white spots on them like they did last time and during breastfeeding and when I squeezed them a little some liquid came out. I started leaking colostrum very early last pregnancy and I am wondering whether this could be a sign that I am pregnant. I read on the internet that it usually doesn?t start till 2 trimester, but on one site it said that you can start not long after conception. I finished breastfeeding my first bub over six months ago. What do you think?

    Hi Tashie,

If it happened early last time then it is possible you are pg.
I`m 20 weeks pg and only this week have I noticed a little colostrum when nipples are squeezed. Although between around weeks 8-10 when squeezed blue liquid came out !! The Dr said it was normal in early pregnancy, hormones aparently. So who knows maybe you are UTD, where are you in your cycle ? Best of luck.

I think I am only day or two past ovulation. So we are still TTC like mad. I read somewhere since posting my question that you can leak even when not pregnant, so I am not going to get my hopes up, but would love to hear from people that leaked in the first few weeks. Thanks

Tashie, had you checked that everything had gone away after finishing with feeding Tobi?
The only reason I ask is because I stopped feeding Harrison at 6 months, but I still have what could only be described as colostrum now.
Fingers crossed what you have does lead to the biggest BFP ever!!!

I am pretty sure that I had all dried up from BB Tobi. I feel no other symptoms yet, obviously as it is too soon, so I really have to slow down and stop thinking about it and in the mean time enjoy TTC. I know that it would be too good to be true if we get UTD straight away.

You know, I was just thinking. Because DH has been away pretty much since I stopped BF and my boobs haven't had any action. Maybe they hadn't fully dried up and I just thought that they had and it wasn't until DH stimulated them again that I have noticed!! Does that make sense? Thanks for your help anyway
