Pregnow tests help... is it a line or not?

i ordered pregnow strips over the net to test just to check if i am pg or not after the past week of strange feelings.

I followed the instructions and after 5 minutes had the faintest ever line next to the dark pink control. The rest of the background is white.

i mean it is extremely faint but u can see it. What does that mean?

A line is a line is a line Thats what I've always heard! Might have to go get a BT from a dr?

hello! sounds like congratulations might be in order!!!
a line no matter how faint is a line and i have heard it is very rare to get a false positive, did you test with fmu? if not can i suggest you try again tomorrow morning with fmu, to see if the line is darker?
hope it all works out the way you want!

When a test is negative should the rest of the back ground be completely white?

Has anyone else used pregnow strips?

It wasnt a fmu but i hung on for hours to concentrate it... lol.... grossly tmi i know

I'm not sure about the background question. But I would suggest testing with FMU tomorrow, that could be why it is so faint.

i havent used that brand, but i think the line should be the same colour as the control, if it has no colour it COULD be an evap line, in my exp if neg it is usually all white.

Mya, I never had a false +ve with pregnow. Infact, I did get evap lines, but only WAY after the 10mins
and they are faint untill you are quite preg with pregnow!

thanks katkins, yeah it came up after 5mins but didnt get any darker after 10.

i got a really really faint line on these tests and af turned up 2 days early. i even got dp to pee on one just to see adn it didnt come up for him. so i dont know i may have had a chemical preg. but the line i got was so faint but it was def there. if you took a pic of it, no one would see it. i hope it means a BFP for you

i have read that you can still have HCG in your system post-baby... i wonder if this is true?

not that far post baby Mya, I mean ur over 10wks post bub. HCG drops during second half of pgcy as placenta takes over and gives bub what it needs. All I know is I was pg 10wks PP so it's very possible to fall so soon after having one bub

it is but i doubt there would be after that long.
i did a hpt almost 3 wks after my m/c ( not the same i know, but similar.....) it came up soooooooo faintly that you couldnt see it at arms length.
i would assume that after a month or so your hormones would go back somewhat to normal, esp if your cycles have resumed normally, but i am not an expert....... i could be wrong!

I got af at 8wks PP and then I didn't get another one cause I was pg with Jess. I found out a few days after I thought AF was due. Turns out I O'd late and AF wasn't actually due for a few more days. But yes, I found out about 11wks PP

WEll i did 2 more FMU tests and both Negative so i have no clue whats going on!
