so i'm getting married tomorrow.. yay!!! i went to the dr earlier this week to get norethisterone (delays my period) as i obviously didn't want it for my honeymoon. i took them on wednesday & yesterday. anyway i have been feeling really tired lately & woke up yesterday feeling pretty ill (i thought it may of just been wedding nerves..)
long story short at 10PM last night i took a FRER i'm 9DPO today....... IT'S A BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just don't know if it's real as the dr thinks i'm not ovulating properly. has anyone heard of norerthisterone giving false positives?? i have stopped taking norethisterone now. i have a dr appt this morning & i will ask for bloods.
as i have a history of m/c i'm just so scared this isn't real. i do have a luteal phase defect & for the past month i have been taking vit B6, folic acid & vit c.
my last m/c i think was due to low progesterone.... what do i ask the dr to test for in the bloods?? what should i take to up my progesterone?
I don't know about what they can give you but I would assume once they do the bloods they would be able to see how the progesterone is. I'm sure there would be something they can give to help it along if they know it's a problem. Fx anyways!!
Thanks so much ladies. Waiting at the drs now. We're leaving the day after the wedding which is why I'm freaking out a little. I'm going to try & ask the dr to prescribe me with progesterone & if it's low then I can start taking them on honeymoon, if he doesn't & progesterone comes back low I'm stuffed
hi ladies, i got my blood taken to see what my HCG level is & what my progesterone is. DR actually said norethisterone has progesterone in it!! i'm seriously thinking because i was taking it, it really helped! (if it's a true BFP).
the nurse was lovely, same nurse who we dealt with when we m/c last year. she put urgent on the blood work & i will know by 4pm today.
Did you miscarry last time due to low progesterone or was your progesterone low because you were going to miscarry? Just a thought. Sounds the same but 2 very different scenarios.
Best of luck, fingers crossed that there is a lovely HCG reading the sarvo
