Rosa, If your opk's have only had a feint second line what makes you think you ovulated last night???? Did you notice some mucous changes? If so and you only had a feint second line I would say ovulation is yet to come.

Some women don't get a true positive but generally those women will get a very dark second line that is almost a positive... I would continue to test - ensuring you dont' empty yuor bladder for 4 hours prior to the test and try and test at the same time each day (around 2pm is optimal.)

thankyou flowerchild for your response, i did see a difference in mucous, when i went to the toilet last night, the lines seem to get darker and was very eggy like i had ovulated, but i have heard that lullaby conceptions are a very good brand, i have been doing my tests at 2pm each day and have not emptied my bladder 4 hours before.

Flowerchild, i have noticed that the test line is getting darker and darker does that mean that ov is coming very soon... thankyou for your help

Yes, Rosa often women do get a darker and darker line before a true positive.

i would test again at 2pm today and if it's darker again tonight around 8pm. I would also begin to have intercourse - rememer that women can have fertile mucous for a number of days prior to ovulation. It sounds like that body of yours is doing all the right things. My hunch is that you will get that positive today...

    Hi Rosa
I tested with Lullaby this month and didnt get a very dark Test Line, it wasnt even close to the Control Line.
I did test towards my O and just noticed it from nothing to very faint, to faint. then very faint to nothing again. I had EWCM the day it was darkest (but still not close to Control Line)
So, I think I'm one of them who never gets a real dark line even with something as senstive as LC. I tried other brands like Ovuplan and Discover, there was almost nothing at all. Very very very faint. So the darkest i ever got was w/ LC
    hope this helps!

    Hi Rosa,

Dont be too stressed if you dont get a textbook positive opk today.

What you saw last night may well have been your positive. Keep Bd'ing because you can ovulate between 6-48 hours after you get a "positive" opk.
I only ever get almost positive and combined with temping I can confirm I ovulate one -two days after I see the darkest second line.

Good luck, sounds like you've done all the right things so far.

It is so great to hear other people's stories of using OPK! I used them for the first time last month and tested for 10 days straight- no dark positive line. From cm I think i ovulated very late in my cycle- day 26 of 36 day cycle. I had been using OPK from day 17 to day 26 inclusive- the line did get darker from day 23 onwards.

I am so relieved to read your stories- I thought because OPK was negative that I just hadn't ovulated. I had become really worried about it, particularly waiting for ovulation this month. It is good to find out that perhaps I did ovulate but that OPK didn't pick it up!

This month it seems as though I have just ovulated- day 18 (friday) or 19 (saturday). I have started charting temp, which increased yesterday (saturday), and cm had become more EW over last few days. Did OPK day 18 and came up clearly negative. Didn't use OPK yesterday as accidentally left packet at work- have decided I'm not keen on them anyway!
