Start BD Sass! the test has indicated an LH surge which means you are likely to O in the next 12-24hrs, so BD today, tomorrow, and the day after for good measure! BOL!

    Hi Sassy
I think the dark line means that you are just about to ovulate (between 12 and 36 hours)
It is best if you have been b'ding before that as well.
I used to ovulate around day 16, I would start OPk's around day 13 where i would get a faint line, and the line would get darker every time i did it, therefore I would know when to bd!
    Hope that helps

Great advice Lisa. Once you get a dark line the surge will happen within 48 hours at the outside. So get thee to thy room!

Sassy - They say that O should occur 12-24 hrs after seeing that double dark line. With me, i get a semi dark line the day or 2 before O, and the double dark lines O day and get busy BDing.
But yes, once you see them grab your DH and get busy!

oops... i forgot to hit reply... but yeah i agree with everyone! get busy!

LOL LIsa! JUst a little aside. I have been an avid opk user for 2 years now (gotta love Lullaby! ) and whilst it's true that you will ovulate usually within 24 hours it can be up to 48. With this pregnancy I was on 150mgs of Clomid. I was having regular follie u/s and despite 3 follies being HUGE I hadn't ovulated. So I was given a trigger. I ovulated 48 hours post trigger (just under).

If you don't know what that is Sassy it's a dose of hcg which mimics lutenising hormone which is what makes that follie release it's egg! It's the LH that the opk is measuring. So, effectively I surged on a Friday but didn't release my cargo for 2 days!

So, the moral. Get jiggy with it as soon as you get a positive (or close to it) and dtd for the next 3-4 days.
