Hi all,
Im new to writing in forums so you'll have to excuse my lack of abbreviations for the moment.
My period is two days late it was due on the 26th Jan on a 30 Day cycle. I have tested with both Confirm and First Response midstream tests, both of which seemed to be negative today.
Yesterday i did two crystal clear midstream tests which both showed very faint positive results although they could have been evaporation lines(from what i have read about them on the internet, not very reliable)?
This evening i tried a Predictor brand pregnancy test, has anybody used or heard of these tests?
It seemed to come up with a definate line in the test result but very pale, i dont want to get excited as it may possibly be an evaporation line.
Any one any ideas on these tests?
Couldn't read and not post. I haven't used the Predictor brand but I would wait a couple of more days b/c you could have ovulated late and hence the reason for the feint line. Good Luck
I agree, test again in a couple of days, with your FMU (first morning urine) and see how you go.
Different brands seem to work for different people, confirm is my brand of choice, but I know other people who have never managed to get a positive on them (even at 6 months preg!)
But Good luck! Be sure to come back and tell us how you go!
Hi ubba82,
The line came up within 5 minutes and is still very visible now, not as dark as i would like. I have two tests left one predictor and one confirm so will test with FMU tomorrow morning and see what happens.
Hi Babywrangler,
I used a confirm thismorning but was second morning urine, there was a line very fine and barely visible.
I used confirm with my daughter and it came up straight away but i dont know when my AF was due as i concieved straight after a miscarriage .although it must have been early as when i went to my Ob he said from the ultrasound i was 4w3d pregnant.
Should the lines on any test start getting darker 3 days after missed period?
Hi RhiChiChi
I could have possibly ovulated later but my cycle is usually around 30 days, but i guess anything is possible.
I have also been feeling very nauseous, but i do tend to feel sick just before AF starts and do have some cramping and dull lower back ache, its hard to determine if its the onset of af or early pregnancy.
oooh
if it has a colour it's not an evap line.
It takes 48ish hours for preg hormones to double so if you can wait a couple of days then yes they should be getting darker.
Hi Lainey,
Welcome to BB :-)
I have always used the digital tests, they are a bit more expensive but give you a definate yes or no. Personally, I've never used or heard of Predictor so can't give advice on it.
How long after you tested did the second line come up? Evap lines usually appear after about 10 mins but if your second line (feint or not) showed up within the specified time on the box then I would take it as a positive! They say a line is a line!!
Also, make sure you test with first morning urine as the pregnancy hormone is stronger with your first wee at this early stage.
