+ ve then -ve HPT?

Hi,

I took a HPT on 12dpo (7dp5dt) and got a faint line on a Confirm pregnancy test, I did this at night so the following day I tested FMU (8dp5dt) and got a -ve same brand same box (2 tests), I was peeing a lot during the night (I think I was up at least 4 times) and drank a whole glass through the night.

Could this be a chemical pregnancy that came and went? Hence no reading on FMU?

I am now 9dp5dt (14dpo) and am too scared to test again - my bt is 2 days away.

I'm beggining to think HPT are not reliable at all and are just plain evil.

dont give up hope i got positive negative then 2 days later positive.

I'm inclined to agree with your HPT assessment... If you've got a BT booked there's no point really - it just adds stress. Either your BT will be positive, or AF will come - would getting a colourful stick a few days early really change that much for you???
(This last cycle was the first one I managed to hold out and NOT test, and waited for the BT - so when I got the positive it was with a number that meant something, not just a vague 'how dark is the line' guess sort of thing!)
