Hi Ladies just after some advice please. We are TTC number 2 and my period is now 5 days late. Last week, which was 2 days before my period was due I had a positive urine test but a negative blood test. Any explanations? My doctor said it was probably just the box of urine tests that is faulty and the blood test is more accurate and that I am prob not pregnant. I feel pregnant though. Constant nausea and weeing sooooo much and oh so tired. Same as when I was pregnant with my son.
I am going back to the doctors today to hopefully have another blood test.
Could there be another explanation as to why I had a positive urine and negative blood?

mmmm not sure coz blood test will show even if u are 2 days pregnant....

have u tried another pee test since?

hi thanks for replying. yes have tried another brand of test and it came up positive immediately but then faded but the line remained there even though it was faint.
i don't know whether to be excited or not.

Before i was pregnant with DS, i had a phantom pregnancy had the sickness, all the symptoms, period was late all the signs of pregnancy but when tests where down they were negative some times your body sometime your body and mind can play tricks on you and because sometimes because you want it so much your mind plays tricks on u. I know its different but it also happened to my mums dog she had pups and then she had a phantom pregnancy as well even felt like there was pups in there but there was nothing...

thanks I will. just hope i get some explanation as to what's going on.
is it still possible that i am pregnant and the blood test was done too early? my period wasn't due yet when i had the test

well this is getting really weird now. yesterday and last night i had (sorry if too much information) watery cervical mucus that resembled egg white, described like fertile mucus. I did an ovulation and guess what I am ovulating now!! What the???? Could my cycle just be abnormally long this month and just ovulating now on day 30? We hadn't had sex for over a week so it definately wasn't sperm. I was having some light cramping yesterday and the day before and thought maybe im not pregnant and my period is on its way. Well now all that pain has gone and according to the urine test I am ovulating. So obviously we BD last night but just wondering if this has happened to anyone else or any advice as to whats happening. Am I just ovulating last this cycle? During this cycle I have had no increase in cervical mucus around day 14 when I should have ovulated and now it is really obvious.
Anyway what do you think?
