12 DPO and BFN Test :( do you think it may be too early

Hi this is my first time on here,
I believe I am 12 DPO. Ovulation was possibly on 11/1/11 and Period is due 26/1/11. I feel like i am pregnant, slightly sore BB's and very tired. I used a HPT the is supposed to detect HCG levels at around 10ml/ so sensitive test and I got a negative do you think it may be too early to test?? Has anyone been in this situation and had actually been pregnant? I also did the test in the afternoon instead of FMU. Help please i feel like im going out of my mind.

Fmu has generally got the most hormones in it. so possibly just too early to tell.

Is this your first month ttc?

Hoping your bfp is just around the corner!

This is 2nd month TTC we have a DD who is almost 5. Fingers crossed

Do you count day of ovulation as 1DPO??

No, days past, being the day after.... So I'd test again tomorrow or the next day FMU, too.... It also depends how long your cycle is. Mine was 31 days... So DPO is different. I always test the day AF is due so not to be disappointed for no reason best of luck tomorrow...
