When to test when you don't know when O is

This is my first cycle TTC (2nd cycle off the Pill). Question is, I'm not temping this month so not sure when O is. When do I test? If my cycle is 28 days AF will be due on 13 Jan but not sure if it will be. Was thinking of waiting till 15 Jan but I guess if O is late or cycle is longer this month that could be too early. So confused!

You may be able to detect ovulation by your cervical mucus. When it goes egg whitish consistency it usually means you are ovulating. Start checking your CM every day, there is a very clear difference. Good luck TTC

Thanks - I think I am getting some EWCM today but I don't seem to have much CM so am finding it difficult to observe.

If your cycle is 28 days and your AF is due 13th January then u are most likely ovulating around now. I know theis sounds gross but if you put it between your thiumb and finger and then pull apart, if it doesnt separate and just forms a long string between your thumb and finger then you are ovulating.

A bit of a late response sorry but have you tried opk's?
They always worked well for me, I usually ovulated around day 14-16 and I'd start testing around CD12 and finish when I got the positive line, just remember most opk's, the second line needs to be as strong as the control line.

I haven't tried OPKs yet but might try next cycle.
