HCG level

hi all,
does anyone know how long it takes for your hCG level to go down after a m/c? i MC 3 1/2 weeks ago i did a pregnancy test today just to see if i was negative to start trying again but the test came back positive. would this still be from the pregnancy i lost?

I'm sorry to hear about your m/c

It can take a while for your HCG level to come down after a m/c depending on how high it was in the first place (ie how far along in the PG you were). The higher it was the longer it might take for your body to get back to normal. Was the test still strongly positive? Did you have a D&C or an u/s done after your loss?

You might like to get things checked out by your doctor just to make sure everything's okay.
