AFM: Sorry i havent been posting much the last few days, DF ended up coming home for the weekend, so we just spent time together. I'm going to head to my dr to pick up the forms at lunch time when Sophie has a nap as its raining here and i dont want to take her out in it if possible, so my younger sisters boyfriend will keep an eye on her and i should be back by the time she wakes up as i only need to get some blood taken.

Feeling very nervous today. I just want it all to go well, and be able to say that I'm off to do the same in another week. We're not having the scan until 3.30pm, and then Ob after that, so will be quite late home. Might even have dinner at mum's. I will try to post quickly after the scan while we're waiting for Max, but if not I will text someone and they can update for me :). Thanks for all your kind wishes :hug:

Goodness me, some of you are spring chickens LOL I'm another one staring down the barrel of the big 4-0 and let me tell you, some mornings after no sleep I feel every day of it! But not today, E slept for 6 hours last night - her best ever! I feel like a new woman :)

AFM - DD had her first day at childcare, i was nervous, but she kissed me and said "bye mum" like it was nobody's business and she went off to play!! She was happy as larry but mummy was a bit sad :( although Im quite relieved she is comfortable and happy to be there.

Well I'll be 43 this year (August)! I actually don't think it matters lineal age. It's what happens. It's what you do with those years that counts! It's what you learn, what you bring to the table & how well you live life...

40 is the new 30 - or so they say! I don't know where all my years have gone!

I actually think I could be old enough to be some member's mother!!!! Now that's scary!

I was driving past this ove 50's village the other day & my DD7 said: "mummy that looks like a nice place what is it?"... I explained it was an over 50's retirement village - for old people. Then I suddenly did the math & realised I could get in there in another 7 or so years! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deb - I'm sorry, but your post made me laugh!

Lisa - I hope DS has the same reaction as your DD, he starts FDC for the very first time next Monday, I think I am more nervous than he will be.

Spring - that is an amazing loss, well done! I did WW Online after DS was born and managed to get down to 2kgs below pre-preg but I'm afraid that number was a long time ago now....! B looks divine in your ticker.

Hello to everyone else.

AFM - has anyone had thyroid issues? My antibodies are up and I'm back seeing my endocrinologist and I'm not sure what this means for the baby.

Janie - Good luck today hun... and I'm still waiting on a call for help!!!! The trip out to pick up your layby doesn't count as I'm always out there anyway!!!! LOL.

Michelle - Big hugs and best of luck getting your results.. I'm praying they are ok but whatever happens we're here for you and will support you no matter what!!

Jo - Hope you get some results through soon and I'm still confident all is gonig to be ok!!

Sorry, I haven't had a chance to really catch up on everything, so won't even attempt any more personals!! It's been busy in here while I was away.

AFM - We're back from a lovely weekend in Geelong. DH sucessfully completed another half ironman and I'm so proud of him... it's such a big achievement. He's done two of them now and will do another on back in Perth in May!! Crazy stuff. He wasn't overly happy with his time of 5 hours and 6 minutes (can any of you even imagine racing for that long.. he's just nuts) but I'm proud as it was a really tough course!! DS started going a little nuts by the end of it.. it was hard work but it was still really nice to get away for a couple of days. We stayed in a caravan park (in a little chalet) and Luke made some friends that he had so much fun running around the park with. It was just adorable and I'm loving the family feel that the caravan park had!! We need to do that more often I think.

Nothing else going on.. not looking forward to this week.. DH is away quite a lot and back in Perth tomorrow, which I hate coz i wanna be there too but it's just too hard for a couple of days. I hate being here without him though. He starts uni again tonight too.. but thankfully it's his VERY LAST unit, so he'll be done in May!!! I can't beleive it.

Anyway I'm rambling about crap now so will go. Still holding out hope of a BFP at some stage in the next week or two but it would be a complete miracle. It's hard not to think about it.

Kelly I'm so pleased you had a good weekend. How cute are the kids at this age when they meet little friends. We love the caravan park feel of things too when we go away. They are so family friendly these days which is great. I hope you get a BFP very soon too :crossfingers:

AFM: I've been and had the 1st blood test as my dr put progressive on the form (i love him), the lady was dracula's sister though :lol: but she was quick so i cant complain. The hospital sends their results overnight to my doctor so if i ring after 2pm tomorrow i should have the results. I also got the form to have another ultrasound and will have that done sometime next week.

Any ideas when i should have the follow-up blood test?? My doctor said in a week's time when i spoke to him on Friday but the pathology lady said they should be doubling in 48hrs so should i go back sometime this week instead of waiting until next Monday?

Absolutely go back in 48 hours from when you had the first test my love. It is a very positive sign to have a result that doubles (or very close to it) within 48 hours. Good luck! :hug:

Spring - wow on the weight loss, although I have seen recent pics of you on FB and I don't think it looks like you need to lose weight anyway! I need to lose a few kgs but I think I will give myself a while before I worry about it! BTW, I love the new pic in your ticker.

Lisa - WTG Miss A on daycare!! It took two months for me to get DD settled into her daycare so I think that is very impressive!

I am happy to report that J has sleep reasonably well for a newborn for the last two nights. He has been waking for feeds at 1.30 and then 4.30am and after a LONG time burping him, he goes back to sleep without too much trouble. So far he is much easier than DD was, but she was a very difficult refluxy baby. He has grown so much already I can hardly believe it! I am loving having Mum and Dad around, they are heaps of help, but am not sure how I will cope when they go home in a week! Then I will really be on my own - no more visitors. I am still very very sore from the birth, actually it feels worse than it did a couple of weeks ago and I don't feel like I will ever be normal down there again. Still haven't typed up my birth story but I am hoping to in the next few days if I get the chance.

Good ctg in record time, we're off to a good start :D

Girls I'm here and I care but I am soooo sick today. I suspect another sinus infection but had to get my bestie on a plane home so haven't been to the drs, will try tomorrow.

Michelle - you are constantly in my thoughts and I am hopefully awaiting GOOD results. I hope the family stuff is resolved. We had similar issues with my parents after announcing our prg with D. It hurts and while I've forgiven, it's hard to forget. :hug:

You are such a beautiful friend and I am so lucky to have you in my life :hug: I am so, so sorry for that stupid conversation you had to overhear :( I could have knocked all their heads together but most of them are just ignorant of the stuff most of us have been through. D's day was very special yesterday although I was disappointed with how many people didn't make it on the day. Including my brother, sister and my nan - she was just too ill to come :( Had a bit of a cry in the morning and then got over it. The priest also left a lot to be desired :o Weather was awful too but we sitll managed a few sausage sandwiches so can't complain ;)

I have to go and crawl back onto the lounge but will BBL to check up on you all. Being sick with 3 little kids and one who has to be taken to school is just a total PITA. DH is home today but I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. I don't think I can take anything but panadol either and it's doing nothing. Woe is me....

Willow - Oh gosh I hope you feel better soon; totally sucky being sick with kids to tend to :hug: So sorry we couldnt make it yesterday but by the time swimming had come and gone (with a major meltdown from Princess Jett who wasnt even attending lessons seeing as we pulled him out for exactly that reason) I dragged them home, shoved them in their rooms for naps and collapsed in a heap.

At present one out of three is being nice to me. R & S have dumped an entire toybox of toys on my living room floor, fan-freakin-tastic. I honestly cant be bothered getting up them though; bad nights sleep last night even though the boys slept great. Thankgod tomorrow is daycare day; theyll all be out of my hair for the day seeing as they managed to get Stells a spot. Going to be filled up with running errands, sorting clothes and toys and getting my house ready to vacate. Ive given my 3wks notice so as of Feb 26th we'll be back together as a family (if I was saying this IRL youd be hearing some dubious sarcasm in that statement but thats a whole other thread *sigh* ).

Hope everyone else is having a better day than I am.

Freya - Don't sweat it babe :) We used to have DDs swimming lessons on a Sunday and we'd constantly forget and make plans and then go...:doh: swimming!!! :lol: It would have taken a mammoth effort to get here and I totally understand :hug:

AFM - DD had a great time at day care and is happy to go back next week. Me - period pain and i get a few nasty side stitch pains every now and then. No real BH's to report but the period pain is getting pretty constant.
