Oh yeah, Happy Third Trimester to me today
Yeah Janie 3rd tri. It goes quick doesn't it? Re BH I had these a lot to the point that I had to breath through some. I was told that if the pain goes away then it is just BH. For me moving made them stop and resting made them worse. Needless to say I moved a lot in my last tri with all my pregnancies. On the other hand given that you've gone into labour early with your DS maby call your OB for reassurance. HTH
Grocery shopping was a bust. Aldi didn't have any baby trollies:wall: Oh well I have to go some other time
Bun: Whoo Hoo darling :happyforyou: This is just wonderful news. I can't wait to hear all about your little man. Sorry to hear labour was tough, I hope you are recovering nicely. So so exciting. There are three little boys in this thread now within a few weeks of eachother.
Janine: I'm going to tell you what you've already told yourself babe, call the stinkin Ob woman. I'm sure it's nothing to be worried about but it is so much better just to check and get the all clear. If it makes you feel any better from about 30 weeks this time I was having BH strong every time I did anything, even going for a walk with O. Hope you are feeling better today.
Michelle: Holding your hand through cyber space hun. I hope and pray you have a wonderful scan today. I'll keep dropping in to check on you.
Kelly: Thinking of you hun. Just wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts. :comfort:
Well we are doing pretty well. B continues to be a flexed out little lad who is even having a stretch of 4-5 hours at night. I can hardly believe it because O was 6 months before he even went a good solid 3 hours. DH has taken O out to do some boy jobs (go to Supercheap etc) so I'm sitting here with a snoozing bub in my HAB (thanks Bek) and catching up on BB. It's amazing what a few solid hours sleep at night can do to make you feel refreshed. I'm getting more sleep with a newborn then I was getting when heavily preggas.
Hi to everyone else.
Spring xx
ETA: We have a name. I just read in Bun's BA thread her little boy is named Joshua Harrison 7lb 10 oz what a perfect name for a perfect little guy.
CONGRATULATIONS BUN!! Such wonderful and exciting news.. I'm soooo thrilled for you guys.. and what a beautiful name.. just love it. You've sucessfully managed to put a smile on my face, so thank you!
Lisa - what beautiful words.. absolutely perfect.. I'm amazed at the strength and generosity that every single one of you have inside.
Janie - Thanks.. I'm certainly going to need you when I get back to melb!!
Thank you everyone else for your thoughts. I'm doing ok... I guess as good as can be expected anyway. I'm feeling really quite miserable today and just really, desperately want another baby! Obviously! It's just another kick in the guts.. three m/c.. I can't believe it. My poor Mum had 7 m/c and one bub that she lost at 6 months... so it's been pretty hard on her too.. to see her only daughter have to go through this. Hopefully we'll get some answers when we see our ob in Melbourne when we get back. Typically.. as always seems to be the case.. I have 2 baby showers that I'm supposed to be going to on Saturday.. I just don't think I can do it.
I'm just absolutely shattered.. as nervous as I was, deep down, I really thought everything was going to be ok this time. To make it worse.. none of my close friends over here understand what I'm going through.. they all continue to have happy, healthy little bubs at the drop of a hat... which I'm very happy about but at the same time.. it just makes it harder for me. I'm catching up with them tomorrow and as much as they care and try to understand, it's just hard.
OK.. enough ranting from me... I'm so sorry.. we need to celebrate the wonderful arrival of Bun's new little boy.. so gone are the tears (momentarily) and back out comes the smile. I really am thrilled for you Bun.. every bub that's born in here gives me more hope that I will get another precious bundle of my very own to cuddle again soon.
Love to you all.

Kelly -
I am thinking of you constantly and wishing there was something I could do :(
Your poor mum, I think it would break absolutely my heart to see my DD go through this. At the same time, you have someone who truly understands. My mum was great but admitted that she had no idea what I was feeling, having been lucky enough not to experience it herself.
Bun - what beautiful news on the arrival of your wee man, Joshua, I bet he's divine! Hope you are recovering okay from your labour, sounds like it was tough, I feel for you, report in when you can and enjoy this incredible time with your little fella xoxo
Kelly - you are amazing, despite your sadness, to be in here wishing Bun well. I know what you say though, that the babies born in this thread give you hope to continue on and try again - I agree with you, the babies in this thread are harder fought in the shadows of the losses of their siblings, and that makes them just a bit more special. I think everyone would agree with this. You'll get there hon, I hope to god it's your turn again soon. It sounds like you have some family history with miscarriages? Did your mum get any testing done, or was it too way long ago....? Don't expect too much of yourself for a while hon, you are going to feel like you know what, don't put on a cheery face if you just don't feel like it. Hugs again xoxoxo
Spring - your are doing such a wonderful job - so glad B is sleeping so well for you - Flynn has only just started going 4 hours at night, and yes, it does help! I agree with you, I maintain it's easier having a newborn than being very pregnant! Give little B a big kiss from me!!
Lisa - thanks, you are so sweet, I agree with everything you said xo
AFM - just took my little man for his 6 weeks shots - we all know how much fun that is NOT. He's sleeping now, but I'll be watching him closely.
Lee xoxoxo
Congratulations Janie on the 3rd Trimester! You now are officially more pregnant than I even got to with Immy!
Kelly more hugs darling...
Michelle my beautiful friend. My candle is burning, my heart is with you. Big cuddles & hand squeezes.
Spring Thank you for getting in and posting Joshua's details :D I was out with DS when Bun sent me the news so atleast no one had to wait for me to get back ;)
Glad to hear all is going so well with B too :)
Lisa you are so correct in what you said earlier. I couldn't agree with you more. I'm so
Michelle I'm holding you tight today hun and like the girls mentioned its cloudy and showers here so I'm positive Caitlyn is there with you too  My candle is burning brightly for you today. I really do hope everything is ok for you :comfort:
Kelly I know what you mean about the baby showers. I went to one last week and boy o boy it was tough. I stayed for as long as I could but as soon as I got in my car and up the road a bit the floodgates opened up well and truly.
As for your friends..its hard for anyone to understand the pain and heartache we feel unless they have been through it before too. Just know that we are all here for you and I wish I could come give you a  IRL cos I know I need one too. Please take care of yourself and yell and scream and cry when you need too :comfort:
Bek I used to hate when the shops had no baby trolleys left or the straps were broken. I got into the habit of taking my baby bjorn or sling with me just in case.
Willow How are you going? Are you coping ok with the reno's? How's your Nan? I've been thinking of you heaps.
Janie WOOHOO on the 3rd tri. Have you rang your Ob?
Lee I can't believe Flynn is 6 weeks already. Where has that time gone??? I hope he didn't get too upset with having his shots.
Ok time to go...the tears have started up again so I need to go and sort myself out.
Mako, I hope you're okay hun . I'm so sorry things are so tough for you, I wish I could take it all away..........How have you gone with getting an appt with Dr S?
Kelly, I will definitely be here for you when you're 'home', but I really hope my belly isn't a kick in the guts for you. I totally agree with what you're saying about all the babies born in this thread being hard fought for, but I will definitely understand if sometimes it's too hard for you to see me . Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason why there are some people we are comfortable with, or not, in our grief. But you need to just go with whatever makes you feel most comfortable (you too Mako!). If the baby showers are going to be gut wrenching for you, then don't do it.
Michelle, thinking of you my love.....xoxo
Deb, do you know, I have actually had that thought!!!!!!! In a good way :). As in, even though it is still waaaaaaaay too early for this bub to be born, if s/he was they would have a fighting chance. Look at your beautiful girl!!!!
Thanks for the reassurance girls :). Everything has settled down today, so I didn't call. I would have if I wasn't seeing him tomorrow morning, but I figure it's less than 24 hours away, so not long! But seriously, all of your posts have helped me to feel better, it's obviously very normal to have painful BHs in subsequent pgs. So I'll just have to put up with it LOL!
Just a quick one girls - a bit of a rough day :(
Short story: Omar has a HB and is measuring well. Nuchal fold is normal thickness. Bloods though are showing a risk of 1/58 for Down's Syndrome. I know that means 57 times out of 58 it will be ok but still ........
Anyway, amnio is now booked for the 5th of February with my OB and preliminary results on the 9th. Formal results will be 2 weeks later.
So, DH and I are trying to process what this means for us and as a family :( What will be our next step if Omar does have a chromosomal abnormality?? Many tears and many thoughts running through my head. Neither option is a good one :( Praying to God and the Universe that this is just a hiccup in being blessed with a healthy new baby. Until then, we wait.
Okay Michelle you've had a really big day honey - I just want you to know if I could jump on a plane to cuddle you I would.
Let me understand. Do you know what your bloods were? Did Omar have a nasal bone?
The nuchal thickness is the BEST indicator - remember your age has also bought the numbers down...
If you need me or want to talk to me anytime you know that.
Michelle, you know how upset for you I am . You have been in my thoughts all afternoon, DH is shattered for you too :(. I too am praying like mad that all is well with Omar, and this is just a glitch in the road to holding your healthy baby, as you said. I can only imagine just how difficult the next weeks are going to be for you both.........we are all here to hold your hand, listen to you vent and work out your emotions. I am here any time you want/need to chat.
I hope you didn't think I was downplaying how scary this is for you......I'm not, it's bl00dy horrible, and a scary road. But it can be good to focus on those positives too, as I know you will. The nuchal fold is a normal thickness, and there is a 57 in 58 chance that all is well with your beautiful baby!
Lots of love and hugs from me xoxo
Nasal bones unable to be viewed due to a recalcitrant child refusing to assume the position  free BHCG 3.1, PAPP-A 0.66 - one up and one down.
Spoke with the OB who doesn't seem too concerned due to the actual measurement and reassured me that a 0.33 MoM result for PAPP-A resulted in poor foetal outcomes and foetal growth issues, not the one I have.
And yes - I am now officially old ;)
Deb - you may just get that call
ETA - Thanks Janie  I am going to need that positive thinking over the next few weeks. And give Dh a big hug from me and say thank you to him too *mwah*
Oh Michelle...this was not the news I was hoping for but all is not lost, let's just focus on that for now. I remember there was a girl in my baby buddies group for D who went through this after her NT scan and everything turned out just fine. It was an awful ordeal for her and like Janie I am not downplaying the significance of your results honey, but trying to stay positive
Like Deb said, your age alone will bring your numbers down. I remember how shocked I was at the difference in my stats from the time I had V (I was 25) to D's pregnancy (30). I know you know all this, but just trying to offer some comfort.
Maybe today was extra cloudy cause Caitlyn knew it was gonna be a rough day
We're about due for some good news in here, stay strong
Like I said to you before, we are all behind you 100%! Im so mad that your having to go through this, but I am positive that it will all be ok. Like the others have said, everything overall points to good outcomes so that is something to focus on. No matter what the outcome or what you decide we are here for you
I've got an Ob appt (and my GCT) in the morning, so I'm hoping that I can bring a very small amount of good news to the table tomorrow. Hoping like mad that we think this bub is growing well (I do have a good feeling :), as opposed to a couple of weeks ago) and that I don't have to see him for another 4 weeks .
Thanks girls :grouphug: The next few weeks are going to be rough .......... unless I go back to the river De-Nile  Sounds like an option at the moment. I feel like an ostrich ;)
I just wanted to enjoy this pregnancy in case it was our last - not spend the second trimester in a state of anxiety waiting for results of one sort or another!!! And I was hoping to announce it to the world - not happening now until we have a formal direction :wall:
Oh Michelle.. what a rough day. You've been in my thoughts and I was praying for some more good news in here to keep lifting the spirits. My prayers are with you. I wish there was more that I could say or do to help you through this difficult time. Just know that I'm thinking of you and praying that all is perfectly fine with Omar. We're all here for you. Sending you some massive hugs... wish I could be there in person... god knows I need quite a few of them right now too!
Mako - I hope you're ok hun... and I wish that we didn't have to go through all this. I'm sending you heaps of big hugs too... we both certainly do need them! I'm so thankful that I have all you guys but at the same time.. you're all so amazing and I hate that you've all had to go through this!
Janie - OMG.. third trimester.. soooo exciting! Thanks for saying everything you said.. I honestly hope that I don't find it difficult seeing you and your very gorgeous belly because I think I'm going to need you!!! I'm pretty sure I'll be fine... for some reason it makes all the difference that you've experienced a loss aswell and because of that.. I'm truely happy and excited for you, so there's no 'awkward' feelings about it. KWIM? It's weird but it makes sense in my crazy head so don't worry!!
Well... I've had an extremely lazy day sitting on the couch and it's just what I've needed. Still feel very sad and can't really be bothered doing anything but I'm going to try really hard to turn that around over the next few days.. I have to remember I'm on holidays and need to try and make the most of it. I don't know how I'm going to do that but I'll try. The other thing getting to me right now is that I can't swim. I'm staying at Mum's and she's got a fantastic pool... it's 39 degrees and going to be even hotter over the weekend.. DS is LOVING the pool and wants to be in there all day long.. and I can't go in becuase of the D&C. Apparently I have to stay out of the pool for a week... just great. I'm already sick of sitting on the edge of the pool saying "sorry darling.. Mummy can't go in the water just yet"... I know it's not a big deal but it's frustrating and just another small thing to remind me of what has happened and what we've lost.
Oh god.. I really need to stop all this whinging.. I'm so sorry guys. I just don't have anywhere else to turn right now.
