What is the best *Homemade* present your kid/s have made for you?

So it is my 37th Birthday today...and while I would have LOVED a sleep in...my 4 year old was waking me up at 6.07am cause it was MY birthday! and she had a *surprise for you mum* ..

So, I shuffle out to the kitchen and there on the table was a painted *portrait* of our family!

There was mummy (me), Harriett (4 year old), Zoe (4 month old) and daddy! But also on there was a picture of our fish Bob and Steve, with pebbles on the bottom of the bowl and Steve blowing bubbles! Also some random ladybugs, butterflies and a floating heart!

Seriously, I LOVE being a mum! and I LOVE homemade prezzies! I really prefer them over anything you can buy....mushy I know...But I am just so proud and in love with my lil family ...

So what homemade prezzies have you received that you are totally in love with....and not so in love with??

Go on, brag about your child/ren talents!!!

When DD1 was in kindy (2008) she made me a bookmark that was laminated. I love it and still use it now, although I am very careful to only use it at home as I would hate to lose it.

Unfortunately, like me, DH is not very crafty inclined so therefore all "kidsmade" pressies come from school!

For Mother's Day last year DD1 gave me a card she had made at kindy and a little plant in a pot they had also done, with things stuck to the plant pot.

I thought the plant pot was cute but the card had me in tears. It was a picture of the two of us walking through our flower garden holding hands. The kids apparently chose their own wording and inside she had "written" : I love gluing things with you and when you make me spaghetti and when we kiss and cuddle. You're the best Mummy ever. I commented on it to one of the other mums a few days later and she said hers was nowhere near as descriptive - just "happy Mother's Day" so I knew it was genuinely what she said, rather than her teacher embellising.

Happy birthday Nikky. Sounds like you've had a gorgeous start to your day already.

I've got a gorgeous picture hanging on my bedroom wall that DD made before the school holidays ended. She made it with left over contact and it's gorgeous she said it was so I didn't feel too sad and lonely once she went back to school.

I have lots of others too but it's my favourite!!

    Happy birthday Nikky!!!

Mine is a Mother's day gift DS1 made at school like 2 yrs ago. It's a photo of him with a handmade frame made out of pasta and then they were sprayed gold. He did a pattern with the pasta shapes and everything. I love it!!!

Mine is a coaster with my DS14's tiny little 3yr old kindy hand print on it. I love it and it sits proudly in my room on my drawer. I dont want to use it in case it gets broken but I would have to be my favourite of them all. dont tell the others though ok??
