Can I just say................
If maccas served sausage and egg mcmuffins all day....well, I'd probably end up birthing a giant sausage and egg mcmuffin. They are devine and I really have to make sure I limit myself to one every couple of weeks. A little OT, sorry. But this thread went from making me 'meh', to frustrated, to meh, to hungry

...and my son sometimes wears fairy wings!
I rather agree with this.
In my experience (and keep in mind that I work in the weightloss industry and deal nearly everyday with many different types of people all wanting to loose weights for many different reasons) judgement and critism NEVER encourage anyone to loose weight or eat healthily. It ALWAYS has a negative impact, either on self esteem or directly in relation to their food choices (ie, "You cann't have that cake" usually means the person eats twice as much, or they avoid the cake out of embarrassment and humiliation and go home and scoff a packet of Tim Tams as a way of soothing their emotions). I have yet to see a situation where someone passing judgement on the way they eat or allow their children to eat prove to be helpful, it usually just makes my job just that little bit harder. I spend alot of my time talking to people and teaching them how to continue with their own good intentions DESPITE the horrible judgements and comments they may recieve. There is nothing more despiriting then attempting to better your life, only to be knocked down time and time again. Leading a healthy lifestyle needs to be intrinsically motivated, it needs to be something decided on by the individual to have any real chance of success.
I literally just chuckled out loud. Bahaha. Love you ladies! xo
Omg, I'm so hungry now!
You need to put fries in the cheeseburger though.
I use to work in a nursing home and their meals weren't bland? They were pretty good actually.
I remember YEARS ago, we would eat at a little country pub.. and 20c got a "bingo" ticket.. it had the words BINGO on the outside, and when you opened up the little perferated edges, and if it said BINGO inside you would win..... we could do that for hours!!!! I was about 10???
My nanna makes her own food. She doesn't add salt or anything to it, it's how she prefers to eat these days. The thing is that as your body gets older you have a hard time breaking stuff down. Rich food and added flavourings can cause tummy upsets, which is why the food might be bland.
Luckily she doesn't like Maccas.
Those are the one pb! I remember then so clearly.
From feeding your baby maccas to playing the bingo machines when we were little to blended old people food....how did this happen??!!!
