For an extra special birthday present we have decided to take Miss K to the zoo.

I mentioned to a friend that we were doing that and she said she still hasn't taken her almost 5 year old as she doesn't think he will have any fun, and in her opinion Miss K won't know what she is looking at which i totally disagree as we have seen the ad on tv and she sees the lions and says "rarrr" and says "ooh whats that?". We have also been to a fair few petting zoos where she absolutely loved being up close to animals which she calls all of them doggies or kitties!

So, my question is how old were your LO's when they first went to the zoo? Did they have fun?
