I know I shouldn't complain at all - especially as they both sleep at the same time and James sleeps for 3 hours They do all vary though, just going to mothers group all of ours are different and I am very aware they can change at any time so I make the most of it! To get Iz to sleep some days she insists on me lying down with her too so I get a forced rest!

Olivia turned 3 on Saturday. maybe twice a month she has a day sleep.. some weeks she might have 4 in one week.. but on an average 2 a month.

She goes to bed around 6:30-7pm and is between 5am and 6:30am.. If she does have a day sleep she generally falls asleep around 8pm..

I think Olivia gets plenty of sleep and when she hasn't she juust has a day nap. sometimes it might be a 10-20 minute nap in the car and other times it is a 3 hour sleep..

Ds will be 3 in march. He has about 1-1.5 hour nap during the day and about 10.5 hours overnight. Occasionally lately he has been skipping his nap. I'm hoping to keep it going a little longer though!

Just wondering on average how much sleep your 3 yr old is getting? Are they still having a day time nap? How long are they sleeping overnight?

DD is sleeping for approx 2 hours during the day (usually 1pm to 3pm) and between 9 and 11 hours at night (bedtime between 7:30 and 9pm depending on whats going on and up again at around 6-6:30am)and i am wondering if this is ok, or should i be encouraging no day time sleep and sticking to bedtime rather than letting her have an extra hour or so up to spend with DF when he gets home.
Pretty much the same here.. but bedtime is between 7-730 at home, but if we're out it'd be later, but he falls asleep in the car anyway

Claudia is not far off turning 4 and since we moved to China and she started full time school, she is sleeping anywhere up to 2 hours at school & then overnight she is sleeping from 8pm til just before 7am. I find that some night I find it extremely hard getting her to go to bed at night & that's usually when she has had one of the big sleeps at school. Sometimes it's 2 hours, sometimes only 30 minutes.

In Australia, before she started school, she wasn't having a day sleep at all (or they were very rare) & she would go to bed about 6:45pm & sleep through til 7:30 the following morning - sometimes later.

IMO, if your little one is having the sleep, she must need it? KWIM? I always figure that kids don't sleep for fun, they sleep because their bodies need it.

You can always give it a try & go back to the day sleep if you find that she's very irritable?

    HTH!

    Love Jayne x
